The near side, rear passenger door rubber, external glass seal has perished for some strange reason.

I can’t find one anywhere and wondered if someone. (anyone) would have one sitting around that they wouldn’t mind parting with?

I would really appreciate you guys having a look in your garages.

Thanks.

Might be worth looking to see if its a "standard" section that can be got from the likes of COH Bains https://coh-baines.co.uk .

COH Bains are just up the road from me so if anyone has a sample I can easily take it in for them to look at.

These seals seem to be becoming an age out item.

I found one at a breakers in Wales. They only wanted £100 for a secondhand one! How we all laughed!

No 9 ie the seal on the outside, with the metal inlay ( that then bubbles and crates the mess). OP may have meant different, or course

Listed by Brit Car and LRDirect, but not cheap......

Google the part number (CGE101280 for the right side).

Ouch!

A case of, you want it and we’ve got it!

TBH. If one doesn’t turn up I will have to pay that figure to at least achieve what I want and not some secondhand bit of rubbish. The breakers in Wales offered me one which was already bubbling for £45!

I don't think it upsets me enough to shell out £150, but I may pay a visit to a breaker

It's odd how they go. All of mine on the ex-plod are fine yet the left side rear one on the Ascot is bubbling nicely even though the others have no bubbling at all. Finding a car in a breaker (if you can) and removing it yourself has got to be much cheaper than a specialist P38 breaker who knows what they cost.

There is a huge breaker in Crawley not too far from me. Worth a call.

I've dealt with Goldstar before and they are very straight. They are tucked down a soggy lane though!

Will consider the door as an option.

Tom is checking his stock.

If I go for the door, I have a 4x4 that goes down a muddy lane!

Tom has a couple but sadly they are worse than mine! It’s really strange how these age.
The two he had were both bubbling on the uprights whereas mine has bubbled on the horizontal section.

Hi guys, just out of interest, how easy, or difficult, is it to replace this window seal ? Do you have to do any deconstruction of the door or door panel ?
