My 4.6thor has started to rev high on start up and is very slow to drop down revs when driving. Only thing obvious is the throttle body is weeping coolant slightly. Could this be the problem? If it is should I just replace throttle body heater or entire assembly? (I do have a complete spare car for parts)

I’m very sure the Throttle Body Heater is not the revving problem. It is a common coolant leak area though.

Throttle body gaskets or the whole plate are readily available, how’s the H&H coming along..
As for high tick over, first thing I’d clean is ACV

The leaking can effect revs --- temp sensor reading cold so alters mixture to run richer- higher revs 👍

try resetting adaptive values with the nano, if you can with a thor that is .

The link posted is for a Thor. It's the cylindrical thing with 2 pipes that bypass the throttle body.

Probably a bit late but maybe inlet gasket leaking or if like my vogue --- crack in inlet manifold 🙄
