Quick question - are any of the aftermarket suspension height sensors 'any good'? Recommendations?

I don't know which ones they were but an owner near me asked me to look at his car as it had EAS errors. It had been into 'his mechanic' to have some work done and one thing they had done was replace all the height sensors. I told him it would need calibrating and that was probably what the problem was but when I checked it, both fronts were giving duff readings with them jumping all over the place. I replaced them with a pair of used originals, calibrated it and he's had no problems since. Oddly, the rears were fine.

It’s my fear - that aftermarket may be a bit ‘iffy’ but the price differential to OEM is massive.. I suppose I could procure three each of the aftermarket ones, which a) would still be a lot cheaper than a set of four OEM; and b) provide a spare for each in case any of them proves to be a dud.

I just wondered if anyone had had good or bad experience with any of the aftermarket ones.

I confess that I bought a job lot of three new height sensors off eBay for about £20. They weren't OEM but I thought that for the price it was handy to have them as spares.
