The previous owner gutted the cigarette lighter in favour for USB ports. This isn’t ideal as I can’t use a tyre inflate for the front wheels lol.
Will a generic cigarette lighter be a snug fit?

It should do, they all tend to be the same size anyway. My USB ports are inside the ashtray and I've got additional cigarette lighter sockets on the rear of the centre console.
I'd probably be 50/50 on whether to keep the USB sockets or replace with a cig lighter socket, these days USB sockets could be more useful than a cig lighter socket... though of course cig lighter to USB adaptors are inexpensive and easily available.
If it's just for the pump then as a temporary measure (or perhaps even permanently) you could use a cig lighter socket that connects to the battery with crocodile clips?
I have removed two cig lighters in favour of usb sockets, which are way more useful IMHO and mine also have a voltmeter , so i can kkep an eye on the battery and alternator I've probably got one of the ones i removed if you're really keen.
I have a 4-way cig lighter socket mounted behind the HEVAC. It's wired to the main cigarette lighter power. The various power plug-ins are wired from there to my phone holder, dash-cam & other bits.
Original lighter socket remains (and has the lighter in it) - most recent use was topping up one tyre away from home because I forgot to do it before the journey.
I've got a 2 way behind the knee panel that has the plugs for my dashcam and sat nav plugged into it. Then there's another 2 way on the back of the centre console which has the charger for the Panasonic Toughbook with EASUnlock, the software for the LPG system and RAVE on it, (and is a perfect fit under the back seat) and the Peltier coolbox that lives behind the centre console plugged into it. The USB sockets are in the ashtray run from a 12-5V adapter underneath them.
That way, it all looks original and the cigarette lighter socket is still there if I need to use it for the tyre pump.
