Greetings from Southernmost Kent.

I am a very proud new owner of a certain epsom green V8 Vogue which i happened to pry away from an existing member on here (hello Morat).

Im building a mental list currently of some bits i may need some technical expertise with and i’m sure i’ll be back very soon asking very important and thought-provoking issues for the p38 overlords to sink their teeth into.

For now, hello and nice to meet you all :) she is in safe hands.

Glad the Duchess has gone to a good home, you shouldn't have too many things to deal with, he's done most of the usual suspects. He'll be wanting to buy it back in a few months when his L322 breaks down......

Lol we shall see…. For now the list is mostly cosmetic rejuvenation. I’m a bit of a stickler for leaks as well so will be trying (godwilling) to attack those very soon. Otherwise it’s an extremely pleasant old girl and i’m besotted with it.

I do have the book of doom on the HVAC panel so in terms of actual fault finding thats all i really have at the moment (touch wood)!

Presumably he didn't throw the Nanocom in with it? That would tell you immediately why you have the book showing.

A tip for you. Often a Nanocom won't connect to the HEVAC on the first attempt. Rather than going straight to the Faults menu, go to Settings and it should be OK after that. If it still says it can't connect to the ECU, come right out and try going back in again, then it should connect. Ignition must be on for all systems except the BeCM where ignition must be off.

Both my P38 do the same. I usually go to the Inputs menu first, and then back for 2nd try. Not tried doing the Settings menu first, but will do.
