Asking for the father in.law.

His near side rear window wont set. Any ideas what it might be?
Window works fine. No skipping teeth.

Assuming it's reaching full travel in both directions, I've found that sometimes you have to exaggerate the setting process.
Start in fully up position
Drive to bottom then as soon as it hits bottom limit flip straight to up.
When at top hold it for a couple of seconds.

It appears to be at full travel. Nothing obvious wrong.

Ive tried the setting process you say. Thats what i normally do but its not worked.

There's someone posting over at Toads place having the same problem. They haven't got an answer that works yet either.

I've found that holding it at the bottom of the travel for a second before taking it back up then holding for a second at the top helps.

I used to try to take it straight back up as soon as it hit the bottom of the travel but that hardly ever worked.

Also worth checking the connectors from the door loom to the body loom (in the body side after the sheath that the loom runs through)

The pulses for the window moving are sent through separate wires than the outstation serial link. So it could be that one of those is corroded and has a bad connection, so the BECM isn't seeing the correct pulses to tell where the window is in its travel..

I'll have a good at RutlandRovers way. Then I'll have a look at the door looms for him.

Everything that goes wrong with it I just tell him it's because it's a diesel. lol
