When I superlock the car generally after I have reversed into a space the drivers mirror needs to be adjusted again. It’s almost like it a European one stuck on. However the mirror tilts upwards?

Any ideas?

The reverse dipping mirror feature is turned on but the feedback pot has died. In theory it should dip to a predetermined setting when you select reverse and then return to normal when you go back into drive. When the feedback pot dies it may dip but not return or not dip but think it has and then try to return to where it thinks it should be. Easiest fix is to turn the feature off by turning the ignition on (but not starting the engine), select reverse gear and then press and hold the memory store button on the drivers seat for 2 seconds. The dash will beep at you and display Mirror Dip Off.

Ahh yes but the passenger side mirror dips as it should but would like to keep this. Surely the drivers mirror shouldn’t dip on a UK model at all?

Yes- both sides dip (or rather tilt) on cars that have them fitted. It's not a dip function. It's a reversing aid.
The photochromatic glass ones provide a true "dip" function, but not that many cars have that, and at a couple of hundred quid to replace, when they get broken, few people bother.
As Gilbertd says, it's a failed pot in the drivers side. I have exactly the same problem on one of my cars. Tilts upwards instead of downwards when reverse is selected. Tilt function duly deactivated!

Ok I guess it’s disable it for now then as it’s a PITA when driving to notice how far out the mirror is.
