On "Dave" right now,- repeated at 7 on "Dave+1"

Building something to compete with a Merc X-Class " Monster Truck/Rockcrawler"

Painful to watch... a (decent) P38 has been butchered to hell and the diffs. welded up, coils fitted etc... !!
The other team have a Toyota Land Cruiser-based 'vehicle'

Series 1, episode 6, Mercedes X Class. If you have an Android device you should be able to get Dave using Mobdro.

Having found it and watched the first 10 minutes I'm not sure if I'm going to bother with the rest. I wasn't aware what a Merc X class was but now I've seen that it's the recently announced Merc badged Nissan Navara, a standard P38 with no mods at all would beat it anyway......

Yes it's certainly a 'bit' contrived.... and I am sure they had to bring some 'external expertise' in to sort out that 'beep beep beep' for sure !

Times to complete the 'rock course' were Merc/"Toyota"/ "P38" = 21/17/12 seconds respectively

I did wonder what would happen to a 'stock' P38 on that course though !

  • but they (possibly) pre-empted that and unceremonously ripped it all off/out first ! Onlya bit of the (Roja Red Metallic) cab was left....
