Hi guys, so yesterday I went down my favourite rangie breakers, was looking for an exhaust system.
Picked up a stainless system, front to back with these stainless hi flow cats. My question is, has anyone else got them, or tried them. They seem to cost mega bucks, I got front to back for £180, which obviously is a bargain, your opinions are appreciated

Yep- sounds like a good price :-) <br>
Unless your old cats were blocked, probably won't make much difference to performance as OEM cats weren't particularly restrictive, but the new noise from the SS system will probably make it feel faster!

My old cats look well mullered, there's 3 lambda points on each, some muppet welded points everywhere ( not very well, I might add) then stuck spark plugs in the holes to plug them up.. More cosmetic to be truthful, but my other boxes are near the mark, plus scrap cats should return a ton at least, happy days !

Stick some HT across those spark plugs and it should act as an afterburner. Give you at least another 200 BHP and 20 foot flames from the exhaust...

I noticed a big difference on my other car swapping the standard cat out for a sports cat. Granted its a very different engine and is turbocharged, but i suspect you'll see benefit from them, especially at the top end :)

Thor's run two lambdas on each cat anyway dont they? The third hole might have been a lambda for an adaptive LPG system?

The only P38 with post cat sensors was the ones made for the US market, all the rest of world models only had pre cat sensors. It could well be that someone has tried adding additional 0-1V sensors to run a single point LPG system although Chris's car now has a multipoint so slaves off the petrol system.

I gutted the cats on mine (as they aren't needed when running on LPG) thinking it would make it sound throatier and maybe allow it to breathe better but it seemed to make no difference at all.
