Could as anyone recommend the cheapest option for me to get the radio code for a Clarion Diversity Radio or even better the cheapest software to allow me to decode it myself. On a separate note I'm still trying to figure out how to permanently delete the code function from these radios but still no joy, any ideas?

Not sure how random all these codes were.. My EKA, for example, is v similar to the bog std US generic code. I've PMd you the code for the old HU I have in my garage, cd be worth a shot. Dealer shd be able to give it though, if the HU is original? Lastly, my radio code has been written by someone on the inside of the case in marker pen.... maybe yours too?

Sadly this isn't the original radio and the code supplied appears incorrect.

I've got a decoder for clarion series, but no idea if it works for the p38 one. Can try it with a known one if someone can provide the following info from theirs with a known code
"Enter the last 4 digits of lower barcode into the yellow box then press the calculate button."

It has to be run in a VM as most AV software doesn't like that sort of software, but if its any good can drop you a copy of it across if wanted.

On the actual HU?

All 3 of these have a bar code below them, on one sticker:
Job no 0140839
Serial no 0017787
Product code PU9836A

Mine says it is a remanufactured unit, but it does use the pin which appears on the security card which (surprisingly) looks original. PM me and I'll tell you if you got it right : o)

Doesn't look promising as it doesn't seem to match that one

Thanks for trying Brian, I'd be keen to hear if anyone else has the correct software or knows where to buy it from.

I think these are the ones Richard has said hes sent to Clarion for a refurb and as part of that they remove the code if thats any help. Also allows adding a line-in connection if so desired.

The decoder I have is part of a multipack one for various ones, very dated now though, the website associated with the software (rampantapathy.co.uk) no longer works though its partly accessible via the wayback machine. Doesn't really matter now as the software clearly isn't correct for the P38 units.

Yes, it is the Clarion Diversity units that I've sent to Clarion in the past. However, they have a flat rate charge of £95 for a full refurb which includes removing the code and adding a line-in. If the unit is dead and needs repairing then that isn't too bad if you want to keep thing original, but a bit steep if all you need is the code removing. Clarion can be found here http://www.clarion-service.co.uk/cs/Repair.html although I have no idea if they are currently working. Might be an idea giving them a call and seeing if they can remove the code or maybe even tell you what it is from the serial number. Otherwise, this site has been used in the past with success https://instant-radio-code.com/clarion-radio-unlock-code

Again many thanks but I know the radio works fine by pressing and holding the BND button then switching it on. Radio works fine for 5 minutes in 'test mode'. My screen has gone but Clarion can't replace these either and the AUX cable I can do myself for pennies. So it just comes down to the code. I've signed up to that instant radio code website, handed out all my details to the entire world and the no code in return. I think many of these radios have been binned simply due to bad screens.

Random guess... 3567?

Marty, Many thanks but the early Diversity radios only have 1-6 options for the code. I've been searching high and low for people who can generate the number and only found 2 who charge £20. (Ironically the number you supplied me was only 3 away from what the last owner thought the code was). Being a typical RR owner I'm reluctant to pay £20 for a code.

You could try phoning Clarion. Whether or not they are working I've no idea, but they might be able to point you in the right direction.

It's a few years since I posted this topic and again I find myself needing a diversity code. Anyone figured it out?
