Anybody know of any cheap/decent condition front seat base cushion.

I could really do with one, don't need whole seat and not really bothered what colour

Cheers guys

I've got two (or maybe 4, I don't remember) but they are knackered and cloth. The ones I don't remember about are a pair of decent bases I was supplied with by an eBay seller that were a different colour to the ones they showed on their advert, so didn't match my seats. I don't remember if I bunged them in my lockup garage or a skip when I moved house. They will be fine if you just need the base and foam.

Cheers.

Going to swap passenger to driver and see how that goes for starters. Never thought about doing that.

Keep you in mind guys. Thanks

My drivers seat base had suffered from having a policeman sat in it all day every day for 8 years. I found a matching interior and put the passenger base on my drivers seat. Bases are interchangeable while backs aren't (they would be except for the armrest).

I think I may have used the wrong term.
Its the base on mine i need to sort.

Can the seat base be removed easily or is it a seat out job?

Cheers Bud

Seat needs to come out and the base is held to the frame with 4 Torx headed bolts (smaller than the ones that hold the seat in).

I have swapped over my driver and passenger seat bases. I did it at the same time as I repaired the seat heating elements.
I also added an extra 1" thick layer of foam to the side squabs to force the wrinkles out.
I remember having to do some stitching underneath to deal with tears in the fabric. So called leather seats were not all leather.

I put a passenger seat squab in mine recently and its the best afternoons work I ever did, sooo much better. Recommended. It does mean the seat has to come out and come apart, if its the full electric job then it is quite heavy. Well worth it though.

Yes, it's held on with 4 bolts.
Never mind you have to take whole seat and frame apart lol.
Out for a test drive now.

Much better.
Not sitting twisted anymore.

One of the problems along with worn foam is the paper covered nylon stringers. The have become detached from the end bits meaning the seat loses support.
