Probably been asked to hundred times. My rear windscreen washer isn't working, probably hasn't worked since I bought the car about six weeks ago.

A bit of Internet reading has shown that quite often it is the pump. Am I right in assuming there are three pumps on one windscreen bottle? If so, I can see the bottle underneath the battery. Can this be accessed through the offside front wheel arch after removing the liner or is there a better method?

Thanks in advance.

Yes it can, or it can be accessed from underneath. Rear washer pump is the one nearest the outside of the car with the black plug. If you find the pump is working but no water getting to the back, there's a non-return valve that goes non-return in both directions under the LH rear parcel shelf.

My one way valve on the rear screen washer is knackered. I’ve just ordered one of these to remove it from the system completely.

Hopefully it’s the same size!

Now he says.

Got 8 left out of a 10 bag of non return valves with correct Land Rover part number on the shelf. Blue Britpart bag so how OEM or how good may be open to question but I can't see me using them all.

Easy to send but apparently just too thick for letter post.

Clive, if you fancy selling a couple I’d do my car properly :)

I can hear the pump work for the front windscreen but not for the rear so I will dive into there tomorrow and check it out. Thanks for the info.

Try swapping the plugs over to confirm it is a dead pump and not a wiring problem.

Bumper removed. That was far easier than I expected.

Pulled all three plug-in connectors from the three motors. Cleaned all terminals with contact cleaner, replugged them.

All washers now work! I took the opportunity to derust and treat a few bare areas on the chassis legs which had a bit of surface rust. A quick coffee and I shall put it all back together.

Happy bunny:)
