After 4 months off road whilst I replaced the suspension air bags & replaced the seals in the air compressor, the car is back on the road.

But Cruise control has stopped working! Any ideas what it could be?

The battery was disconnected for 2 weeks whilst i did the above jobs.

Split pipes. They perish and split at the ends. Look at the Tee behind the actuator and see if they are split there, otherwise it'll have split where it passes through the bulkhead to the brake pedal switch.

It's the round thing that sits behind the EAS box with a cable going to the throttle body.

You would have removed the actuator to remove the valve block, (if you removed the valve block).

When I removed my actuator I found one of the hoses split where it pushes onto the tee piece.

My cruise control was very slow to engage but now works perfectly since I cut the hose back and reconnected it.

In fact, it could be as simple as one of the hoses has come up its connection.

When I got my car cruise control wasn't working. I read up on the system and had a look.

Simple it was. Two small lengths of hose had perished just by the vacuum actuator thingy by the LH wing. Got a length of silicone vaccum hose delivered, fitted two new bits, and it worked straight away.

Because I'd no idea how long it hadn't worked, I wasn't really expecting it to be such a simple fix - but that was all that was needed- two tiny bits of new pipe.

That's the easy fix, it gets slightly more difficult when it has split at the brake pedal switch or where it goes through the bulkhead. Even then, the hardest part is getting it through the grommet in the bulkhead and standing on your head in the footwell connecting it to the switch. But no matter which, it's still a simple enough job.

I find that every time I fumble around the brake switch area ... I break it ... :-(
