hi I've fitted a after market Bluetooth stereo to my 2000 2.5td p38 when you turn the key on to start the radio turns on but don't power down when turned off you have to power down manually
when I fitted the radio I used a wire block connector so didn't have to cut and join no wires on the range rover I was just wondering if anyone knows how to set it so when turn key off the radio turns off as it was on the other day and has made battery drain flat

You'll have two power supplies, a permanent live and an ignition switched which will both have been on the one DIN connector into the original head unit. Although they should all be wired the same it isn't unknown for them to be reversed on some cars/head units. It sounds like you have permanent and ignition switched reversed.

thanks for that I will have a look later I rember doing a wire swap on old car before I think I swapped the red and yellow wires around so yellow to red and vice vicer

Don’t just swap one wire, otherwise when you power down you will lose any memory, swap both over,, use a meter to test it’s the correct ones, one will be permanently live, the other when ignition is on
