That's it, the bumpstops are on the underside of the chassis so you jack the car up, poke them into place (hence 30mm diameter so they sit in there nicely) and drop the jacks so it is sitting on the blocks, read the heights for each corner and write them into the ECU. Then jack it up, pull those blocks out and fit the next size down and do the same. With a jack at both ends it shouldn't take more than about half an hour.

Nice, i will get that done next week end all being well.

I need a decent tester to turn the airbag fault light out now i have reconnected all the plugs, as i have learnt it being a 95 it wont clear itself and then i can hopefully get it back on the road this year

I cannot get the software to talk to the car using eas unlock.

I had a cheap tester which can read the ecu. So I assume the old port it OK.

The software sends FF and 1 out but I'm only getting 80 and 28 coming back.

It seems to read the heights on the get heights page. But on the calibration page it is mainly zeros

If you are going to machine some spacer blocks yourself, make them so they are a tight push fit in the bump stops and stay there.
Mine drop out sometimes.

Yes RSW say communication with ecu ok but power up cycle not correct. Il dig a bit deeper. May have to alter the delay on the communication side by looks of it

Altering the delay never seems to do much. Go into the Comm port properties and drop the baud rate to 4,800.

It says the power cycle for the eas not done properly.

How do you gents state what the process is.

Ignition on

Then plug laptop in

Then power up software.

Or software running and plugged in first etc.

I have a feeling at if the laptop is booted with the cable already plugged it, Windows detects it as a mouse or something like that. I boot up the laptop, start the car, then plug in.

The rsw software is brilliant once you master it, are sure your choosing the correct comms port, on all your pics you have no idle, which means there no talking to each other, as said, get the programme up and running before you connect to the OBD socket, if you pick the wrong comms port from experience I found that I had to reboot the programme as well !,, once you grasp it your love it,, easy to use even for people like me who know sweet fanny Adams about computer programmes etc

Thanks again, I will try this mid week and report back how i get on.

Bit of a non productive day yesterday, the software i couldnt get the knack of

Then the discs and pads i ordered from maltings would not fit, the front discs seemed too deep and only just came flush with the start of the studs.

Suspect they may of been for a D2 but not 100%

At least i got some new HT leads fitted and refitted some odd bits of trim inside that i had still to go at

Evening gents

Thank you for all the help.

Finally got it to fully sync up. No faults to start with. Tried to edit and level the sides up but need to practice abit more editing the heights. Both the right hand side front and rear must be 40mm difference to the left hand side. Then I got an error when I tried to edit.

I didn't take a photo of the saved heights but standard there was only about 10 difference between left and right. For example if I remember high height was

Front left 150
Front right 140
Rear left 130
Rear right 120

While it isn't ideal, that should be OK. It will get offended if they overlap with numbers programmed for other heights though. Need to see what you have programmed for each setting really.
