I wonder whether anyone is breaking a P38 with either Beige or Lightstone trim ?

I am looking for some trim fasteners which are hard to find nowadays.
This fastener has a slot in the head:

The one below is a short trim fastener, one that joins two panels, stuff like that:

I would also like to find a front grab handle, complete with the screws, the screw cover caps and with the little metal inserts where the screws fit through the handle mounting holes.

Any help would be appreciated.

Uhm, mine is a Lightstone and its "donor twin" is a grey (don't know but I think is Granite), but the roof stuff (handles and such) are in the same color, which should be "Mist grey". It seems upper of the middle line, all plastics and roof fittings are the same across the models, regardless of the lower trim. So anything you can find locally, should fit.

The first photo seems to be the "quarter turn" for the rear luggage trim area (say, the cover for the subwoofer), this you need to find it in Lightstone indeed.
The third photo I cannot make it, I thought it was the 'shiny cap' in the rear parcelf area, but it does not seem to be.

Mine's got something roughly like that at boot cover/shelf level, but no idea if it's original as some are black (similar to the ones lower down near the seatbelt routes that are hidden in the rear trim) and some are missing (lightstone car, but I don't think it was really that well looked after - certainly in the last ten years or so. A lot of odd parts like that).

The third picture is of the shorter fastener used, as SamH, says, for things like the trim joinings like those behind and under the back seats, above the wheel arch. Also along the rear boot area plastic trim, beside the rear windows where they join the side panel where the wheelwell and the Harmon Kardon hi-fi system is fitted.

If anyone might know where I can get any of these fasteners I would be grateful if you could maybe PM me ? Either Lightstone or Beige would be OK. A front passenger handle with all the bits and pieces is also required.

Quarter turn one seems to be no longer available everywhere, middle one is available (see https://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php/81332/0/fir_tree_trim_clip_beige_p38_range_rover), bottom one is a slightly different design (my car has a mix of the ones you have and the ones shown here) but appears available in limited stocks (see https://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php/99454/0/clip_trim_retention_ash_beige_nrr_p38 but showing only 1 in stock).

Britcar also have 1 grab handle in stock (https://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php/125985/5497/grab_handle___mist_grey___headlining___p38_range_rover_ )but not the blanking plates that cover the screws although JLR have them (https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com/btr8261lum-plug-blanking.html).

From the poorness of my location, you got to be crazy to go buy a handle new ... any breaker must be glad to get rid of it :-)

Richard, the clip you called "middle" should be the one that goes in the plastic covers of the front seats' "feet" (towards the rear seats), except the very long one mounted on the front (towards the driver and passenger's area) ... all these they literally disintegrate ..
The last one looks exactly like the parcel shelf ones ... I've noticed they are unique and found only in that area.

I saw the grab handle on the Brit Car website, but I have bought a used, very well cleaned one from a breaker, Tom Peers. Leolito is correct about the price - the new one is around £24 including VAT, I have paid £5 plus postage.

Again - the fasteners, as leolito acknowledges, fit the carpet-type trim in the area around the back seats and boot area. The first fastener, that is pictured, is used where the Harmon Kardon CD unit is installed, on the passenger side in the boot area. There are four of them holding the outer carpeted trim panel around the CD unit.

The fasteners in pics 2 and 3 hold various bits of trim together, such as under the folding boot cover. There are about 4 or 5 on each side, right behind the rear seats. In my vehicle they are a couple of different colours, Brown and Beige, so I suspect somebody before me has had this same problem - lack of supply. I think that I have sourced about 8 or 10 at this stage, from different breakers.

The big fir-tree fasteners are light Grey and do fit the seat base trim panels. There are a couple of short [10/15mm] ones around the side of the seat panels and one big one, beside the transmission tunnel, about 20/25mm long, much bigger than any of the others and easy to find online.

To some extent, I am picking up some spare ones because some of the ones in my vehicle are a bit stripped of the fastener bits.

Yes, this is a correct approach. Sometimes, if they have never been removed, they are a pain!
I also noticed the paint on them chips away, very poor manufacturing choice. Other makes have the color "embedded" in the plastic directly, and this means they tolerate much better the handling.
I've looked carefully and the parcel shelf area ones are the only with a 'shiny' cap, no fir tree type but normal "press-on" clip, and beige-brown in color.
Fascinating topic for a Friday night! Gotta love RRP38 owners!

I always wanted to be a Morris Minor owner, but I bought a P38 by mistake, at an auction, in the dark, at night ....................................... where am I now.
