Still having issues with remote locking.

If it’s not the latches (both front now swapped with good working ones), not the fob batteries, not the RF receiver, what else could it be?

DOH DOH DOH DOH DOH DOH

I think I know the problem. It went away when i disconnected the battery on the Duke. Once done, the Duchess synchronised immediately. I guess they were fighting for the signal.

Must have been a nightmare setting up new cars at the dealerships!

Now that's interesting. Can't think of a reason why but the one in France that won't sync now has always had mine parked next to it when I've tried it. In the past when it would sync, mine was parked round the corner......

Would need to do some more testing but from a technical standpoint, that doesn't make much sense as the RF receiver does just that - receive. Even the friendly syncing functionality of later P38s is only initiated by the inductive coil around the ignition barrel - its very short range and only activates when told do with a key in the barrel etc.

Other than that, there isn't any kind of two way comms between the remote fob and the car. Strange indeed.
