I found a couple of new interiorfilters in the shed and thought 'why not renew them', last time was one year ago and I have done less than 9000 kms since.
This is what came out, people let me believe I live in a clean air region. Not dramatically dirty but stilll.

I should have taken a picture of the two I took out of my mates car last weekend. It's lived in France for almost 10 years and it looked like they have never been replaced in all that time.

The ones from the new car went in the bin- had to handle them with forceps and a respirator, but, unusually, didn't take a picture.
Have a nice Blue Box set, including plenum foam, to put back in. Surely even the Blue Box company can't mess those up?

Of course they can. They'll disintegrate, end up being chopped into little pieces in the blowers and the noise will drive you bonkers.

Richard is right. I had the plenum filter by blue box and it disintegrated within a year.

The plenum foam is/was a crap idea anyway - replace it with some fine black mesh.

I have Britpart filters in mine and they fit fine, and seemed of decent construction. Coming up on a year old now so will renew them soon enough and see if they're still in one piece :)
