I want to change the LPG filters (as far as I know they have never been changed!) but I am not sure the size! The photo of the existing one is below - but matching ones with similar codes vary on inlet/outlet size!

I've found a supplier on the Bay of E - advice please as I'd like to do them at the weekend...

I'm sure the other guys will confirm, but I'm pretty sure as long as hose outlets are correct it they will be ok, I've just ordered one for mine as I haven't changed it since I bought the car ( slaps my own wrists ).

The thing is i am getting conflicting results on Google about the inlet and outlet size. I think it's 11mm / 11mm (only because more sites say this!) - and the new one is 12mm / 12mm - so I think it's correct. I don't want to take the old ones off until I get the new ones as I am using the car every day at the moment.

The pipework looks good so I think I am OK keeping that?

A filter is a filter, part number doesn't matter. Pull a pipe off and see what size the end is. I get my stuff from here http://tinleytech.co.uk/product-category/lpg-parts/filtershut-off/lpg-vapour-filter/?widget_search=yes and their next day delivery is just that if you are cutting it fine on time.

Thanks - Quick (probably stupid) question.... is there pressure in the pipes when the car isn't running?

Yes, just a seconds hiss. Outside in today's storm you won't notice it.

LOL - good point! It's been hammering it down too in Petts Wood this morning - now we have high wind and sunshine!

Probably a bit late now but the hose from the reducer to the injectors, so including the filter, will have LPG vapour at around 1.5 bar absolute (so only around 7psi higher than atmospheric). As Tony says, a quick hiss as you release the pipe and that's it.

Have you got the storm in Holland too Tony?

I reckon 11mm ends on that Matrix filter, could be wrong...

Yes, force 10 for tonight. The road (dike) Enkhuizen-Lelystad is closed due to overcoming water, several lorries on their side, trees on cars etc.
But all the tiles still on the house!
And a leaky P38 roof. But I saw the post I was pointed at, that might well be the case, where the top finisher of the frontscreen meets the roofrail there is a suspected weld (spotweld) and maybe a pinhole just under the finisher.
It is not the roofrail itself, they are attached by clips and not bolts going through the roof. Took me some time to find out how to undo it but google is your friend.

It's blown over here now and completely still outside but it was pretty interesting earlier today. Had to go down to London and on the way back found two lorries having a quiet sleep on their side in the fast lane of the M11.

The only signs at home was that the cover had blown off my motorbike and was at the bottom of the garden but one of the guys at work was driving along and had a steel garage fly over his van!

What annoyed me most is the ferries to Texel have stopped their service.
Bunch of sissy's.
