I need new rear brakediscs, that is the rears have the most grooves compared to front.

Looking at Islands4x4 there are some options, beforehand I was told in the past to avoid anything that comes in a blue box so I can rule them out.

Two options draw my attention:
The Delphi rear set for £54,16 including pads

or the Terrafirma set of 4 drilled and grooved for £94,99 but without pads

In case I want to renew the fronts at least now I have the same brand front and rear but still have to choose pads.

Q.: Do I need drilled and grooved discs? I want firm brakes that don't easily fade, especially when going downhill. Padwear is not such an issue, just renew when they need to.
If I can do with the Delphi rears I have some time to save for the fronts.

What are your opinions?

Rears do naff all anyway so drilled and grooved would be overkill. Fade is down the the pad compound rather than the discs anyway. Stick with the Delphi ones.

Check the condition of the Rubber brake hoses when you are in there. They are cheap to replace and will help braking power.
Since you are in the UK and parts are way cheaper there I would rebuild the calipers too.
All these prices are pounds sterling and are from lrdirect:
STC1909 Caliper Seal kit (does both sides) - 3.28

While you are in there, have a good look at the two short steel brake pipes, they are known to rust and aren't that easy to see. You'll need a crows foot spanner to undo the top fitting or you'll never get them off.

Sorry guys, haven't been on here for a few days and there is no notifying thing.
I'll take all good advice and see what needs to be done. The latest MOT was without comment so I expect the brakehoses to be OK with no cracks but I will check that.
Just curious, what is a crows foot spanner?

Googled it, I don't have such a set but I might be able to buy the right size bit and work it out.

I've got a set similar to this https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/clarke-crows-foot-imperial-wrench-set-10-piece/ that I bought when I needed just one for one particular job. They've sat in the bottom of my toolbox ever since and I only remembered them after I'd spent the best part of half an hour laying under the car looking at the pipe wondering how the hell I was going to get at the pipe union!

I just did this job over the weekend. The 11mm crows-foot works good on the rear lines. A wrench or spanner to UK folk will not work due to space limitations. The crows-foot also works for the front line connections as there is limited room there also.
I replaced all 6 rubber lines plus the two small hard lines on the rear. If you can buy a 18 inch line with the flares already done it will work for the small lines.
Remember Bubble flares and not double flares.
I used a broom handle in a vice to bend the tight radius bends.
I also rebuilt all 4 calipers for less than buying one rebuilt unit.
Bleed nipples are M10x1.0x31.5mm if they need replacing. I bought M10x1.0x32.5mm and they worked fine.
Remember to follow rave bleed process for desired results. My brake pedal feels better than ever and stopping power is awesome.

Thank you Rayodunne for your specs, it saves me finding out.
As for the brakeline mountings I still have some stuff from my former Classic lying around, they are already metric and the pipes itself I can bend them myself including flaring.

But first investigate what needs to be done, thanks for the info.
