Here's a question for the good folk of rr.pub

Does anyone know if there is a thermostat in the oil system, specifically under the oil filter housing where the cooler pipes go.

Thx

There's no mention of one in my manual for a diesel or petrol.

That drive to and from Boston seems to take forever when I've had to do it as well. Like it used to be to drive out on the A11 to Norwich when it used to go through the middle of Elveden.

I am 100% certain there is no thermostat on the auto gearbox cooler and 99% certain there is no thermostat on the engine oil cooler, if that helps.
