I was just told by my wife to join this group. So hi. She was talking to a bloke called Gordon at the servo up in Hamilton. He also has a P38 blacky likes ours.
Anyway it's good to see groups that aren't FB.

Cheers

Blimey, a bloke who does what his wife tells him! that would be Gordonjcp who runs this site and works in Hamilton. Welcome along, most of us on here have been there and done it so when something stops working, you'll find someone who can help.

I only did it because I wanted to see other groups that aren't on FB. I absolutely hate their service, too controlling for my liking. Bad enough the government control us so much so no point adding to it.

It isn't very often we see other P38 owners. We know of a black one that is near to us but haven't met the bloke yet. My wife assured me it isn't you :D

Thanks to all for the welcome.
A little info about our Rangie. It runs on multipoint LPG for 99% of its running and has a 100L of useable LPG + the 100L petrol tank, so we're pretty well sorted to go anywhere and everywhere on this tiny island called the UK. It gets used as well. None of this Sunday car stuff. It is our daily driver. Plus we will be using it for towing our caravan.
We've owned it since May 2018. It was well looked after by its previous owner, had a small folder of receipts etc. However of course we have added to that since we've owned it. It still needs a lot done to it but that will all happen over time.It has rust in the rear left quarter. Hopefully we can keep that at bay. mechanically its running fine. We need to do the headlining, need to replace both sidesteps because if you did step on them they would break off due to rust. That's an area the previous owner didn't really bother about. It could do with a touch up paint job ue to a neighbours brats who decide to key our car and several others along the road. I make sure to follow the instructions on my medication and keep away from children. I am not good for their helath. :D
Oh I almost forgot. The aurcon doesn't work. We put it in to be fixed by some specialists up near Perth, can't remember where but it cost us a fortune to have the dash out etc but the problem hasn't been sorted.

It is our second P38, the first one we owned was back home in Oz (I'm an Aussie) but sadly that one died in a head on collision. No one was hurt thankfully. We also ran that on gas but it wasn't a mp system. It was a 96. Our current is a 2001. Bloody beautiful cars to own and drive but there but boy do they eat up the money. We knew this going into them the first time.

Anyway cheers folks.

Where in Oz are you from?

I'm originally from other other 'down under' - and had P38's in NZ too before moving here. Though I had 4.6's, I didn't have LPG at the time - and they were my daily drivers too!

Welcome to the group... Air con... I'd look first at the condenser under the slam panel/in front of the radiator - they have a habit for corroding in the top corners, which will stop the system from holding gas, and hence the AC not working...
