Having had my Clarion radio repaired by Clarion UK it works ok all but the blank screen. I was thinking of replacing the radio but came across the pure highway 400 and wondered if anybody had one or similar and are they any good?

I looked at the Pure, as I've got a Pure DAB tuner in the house, when the cheapo Halfords DAB adapter in the other half's car died. Only reason I didn't go for it was the actual receiver section is incorporated in the antenna and she already had a DAB antenna on the car. Ended up getting one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254817833872 which works really well. It depends what you want, if you want the Pure so you have a display and it will give you Bluetooth connectivity as well. Pure stuff is usually very good too.

Thankyou, I want for the Pure is it was free postage and the eBay one was ยฃ15 postage so the pure was cheaper? Should be delivered between Wednesday and Friday. ๐Ÿ‘

I have previously considered a DAB radio but all the stations & more are available streaming over the internet so I just use my iPhone (which is always on the dash running the TomTom satnav app). I use this Bluetooth adapter which tuned to 108.0 MHz gives a nice clear sound. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07V7YN8PF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I would prefer a proper Bluetooth input for the radio but I don't know whether this is possible.

Brilliant, works a treat. Wish I had done it ages ago. I have stuck the aerial onto the left hand rear glass. Hard wired to the aux on the radio with a female to female adapter. May get a 3.5mm extension lead and tuck it in. Have not tried the fm radio connection as it was so cold in my car workshop. Not mounted the head unit yet, it may live in the glovebox ๐Ÿ™‚. Have listened to radio 4extra and the reception is great. Can I pick up a 12v supply in the boot?
It comes with a three year warranty

Yes, behind the LH rear light there's an unused 4 way connector put there for twin socket electrics. It has permanent live, ignition switched live, reverse light feed and ground in it.

Surprised you've got DAB reception in your area though.

Thanks for that will use the switch live. DAB has only worked for the last six months on Flotta the pure highway picked up eleven stations more than enough for me ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes, all you've got is the BBC multiplex although no idea where from, the transmitter checkers don't show any transmitter sites north of Mounteagle, just north of Inverness, but that carries 3 multplexes.

Not sure how it works but glad that it does, bbc radio three shuts down on free view at 4pm now if we could get that sorted out. ๐Ÿคฃ
