I'm a driver driver... I love the freedom to go where I like when I'm behind the wheel... I'll be a fan of self drive cars, besides which they will be costing me my job.
hahahahahaha!!!!!!
What on earth have I just been readiing.
Cruise control is designed to keep you moving at a steady speed when you're driving a good distance.
I don't understand how anybody could not like it.. it's a good send!
I'm not built for gymnastics!
Could I tape the new on to the end of the old and pull it all the way through?
Yes I think the thunderstorm the other night is the suspect... the rain was biblical... nearly built an ark!
I was hoping you would say that as the Cruise does bugger all except light up!
Yes it's all very fragile feeling.
I'll grab some pipe tomorrow and get it done!
Are those the only pipes for the cruise?
Yes I thought it was just a bit of lippy!
I've not had any wet inside before,,, so it's not to bad... I'll investigate it next weekend... maybe!
Just poking around abit under the bonnet and found a split pipe.. I chopped it and reattached it, and tried to follow it to the source, but lost it under the fire guard..
I have never noticed the back of the rear headrest being dirty before!! I'll be getting on to that asap!!
Also, a little question.. the bit of rubber on the bottom of the windscreen seem's to go walkies whenever it feels like it for some reason, and I noticed a little bit of wet in the passenger foot well just now, could it be the cause?
It's defo not O rings or the Aircon. so it has to be rain water.
I prefer the lanes nicely over grown.. especially when you can't see the sides let alone the floor.. I've had a few hairy moments turning right when I should have turned left.... even scarier still is when you simply can't see anything... until a Landy headlight appears about a foot from the bonnet!
Yes Morat I'm pretty impressed with my MPG.. that's after hammering it through the lanes.. in the town I get around 11.
I just went to change the diff oils... but it started raining, so I gave up.. I did however take a pic of my headlining... I'm still proud of the job I done recovering it considering it's my first attempt!
I tried a couple of different bulbs and neither worked.
I'll put it down to P38 trickery haha!
A few random pictures of my baby.
Believe it or not the scratches you can see have all polished out.. not that it really matters as I will be painting her at some point.
Thanks for all the advice guys.
I popped a bulb in earlier.. and guess what? It works! So its obviously a dodgy connection somewhere.
I'll see if it stops working again, if it does i'll run in a new wire.
All the other speakers work brilliantly considering the age, just as good as any 17 plate I've been driving, and with my job I've driven a few!
I did think of swapping the passenger side just to check the wiring.
So if the amp fails will the speaker be completely silent? No crackles or anything?
I changed my radio over today, due to the LCD screen on the Clarion being buggered.
I've never been able to change the balance etc due to the screen not working, and the radio has never sounded brilliant, and the drivers door speaker has never worked.. I assumed it was the balance on the radio.
Anyway the new head is in, and it sounds fantastic.. however the drivers door speaker still isn't working.
It's raining at the moment, so I haven't taken the door card off yet to investigate, however when I did first purchase the Range, I took the card off and had a quick look and found the amp and speaker is connected correctly.
So when I have a little look tomorrow, is there anything in particular I should check?
It's the HK diversity system with the amps in the doors and sub and CD changer in the boot.
Cheers.
Well today I've had another look.
And I've come up blank. For some reason there's just no power getting to the bulb.. stupid!
