Spent a couple of nights up in Yorkshire recently, and had a great time!

Was nice to cruise about in the RR - especially when coming to a flooded road along our route. When we came back the other way, the road was actually closed to all traffic, so was lucky to give the underside of the RR a clean in one direction at least! Suspension up to wading height and carry on!... saw the Citroen thing in the rear view mirror decide to turn around as I was heading off down the road.

My lovely co-pilot took a video of us going through it:

Then decided to take a cruise up and over a couple of the mountains, and managed to get a few pictures on the way up... most of them don't show it, but it was chucking with rain and blowing a gale... I didn't mind though, made the drive more interesting!

As you can see in the last picture, you can just pick out the sideways rain in the headlights!

I'll have a look and see how good the recording was on the dashcam, but managed to attack some pretty big puddles in the road too - think a couple of times I managed to splash the roof!

I once followed a P38 in my Citroën through a flooded road in Greenock where the police were letting 4x4s through but turning cars away - he spotted the "legs go up" moment as I flicked the switch to raise the old CX up to "rock hard but 18" ground clearance" setting :-)

Hmm, for some reason it was set to Private... changed the permissions now, so should be viewable.

Where's this.. I'd guess maybe near Tanhill or Holmfirth? I sometimes go for a drive around Tanhill and to the highest pub in England in summer.

Years ago I bought a BMW750 from Paignton, Devon and set off from Yorkshire to collect it in a Volvo with a rather large car trailer on the back. Stupidly I followed Satnav, which took me down some really tight country lanes with very sharp bends and a river ford. It was the early hours of a very cold morning when I got to the ford, had to take my shoes and socks off to check depth before crossing. Made the crossing then at the other side of the ford was a steep wet hill, front wheels kept spinning all the way up. Last time I'd use Satnav for a trip when towing and last time I'd want to pull something so heavy such a distance using the wrong type of vehicle lol.

Looks like fun :) Can tell from the weather if nothing else where in the world you are...
