Okay, so having ordered, paid and never received a damn thing from the good Doctor, apart from a litany of useless excuses (of course, that could just be me, RRTH would probably say that his bestest mate pissing off with somebody's money is no harm), my interior still needs sorting out.

There's all sorts of bits I need, e.g., instrument binnacle, rear carpet finishers, transmission tunnel side trims, all sorts. More to the point, all sorts I simply cannot get here.

Anyone up for receiving a shopping list, sourcing and a courier? Ideally a job lot from a single breakers for ease.

Lots of places have got 'some' bits, but not all, so then it becomes an expensive mix 'n' match enterprise, shipping each part and, more to the point, paying whatever made up duty they feel like on each bit. A single ship would work out a lot cheaper. It's all plastic bits, no weight, just bulk.

Happy to pay all costs, plus a (good) few beers, by direct bank transfer before shipping.

Interior is G (Tan) as fitted to the early Epsom Green 4.6 HSE.

Perhaps someone could take charge of the list and those of us who are breaking P38s or have access to ones in breakers could send them any parts we have/find for them to box up and send.

Shame the one Adam is breaking (see https://rangerovers.pub/topic/759-getting-spare-car-for-engine-swap) is the wrong colour, or he would be able to supply everything you need. Avenger 4x4 is local to me and I think he has a green one in for breaking at the moment, if you post up the list, preferably with part numbers (as I'm not sure what you mean by rear carpet finishers) or photos, I can call in and see what he's got. It's not the sort of thing he usually keeps so if he has them in the right colour it shouldn't be a problem. Agreed on one big box or you'll end up being charged 1000% tax on every individual part. It'll work out a lot better on a big box with a declared value of £20.

Okay, go given that it is Valour Day today, it's a holiday, so I dragged her out kicking and screaming into the daylight for a little tootle around and amazingly, remembered to take pics!

As said, these are the important bits as they really let the inside down, but if someone was parting out an interior job lot, I wouldn't be averse to buying anyway as spares for when other bits crack! Don't want to get too giddy though otherwise it becomes a pain on your end to pack and courier so the ones pictured above would do me nicely, thanks.

I called in at Avenger last week but they have had a clearout and most trim parts have been thrown away so no joy there. However, I suspect someone might have the bits you need (Chris?) or I can try another couple of breakers for you.

It's the same with most breakers, interior trim takes up a lot of storage space and there isn't much call for it. East Coast are another breaker/restorer (depending on the condition of the car that comes in) and they strap all the seats and plastic trim to a pallet and sell it as one lot. I went there and got a complete replacement interior for mine when all I wanted was the passenger seat base to replace my very worn drivers seat base. I ended up bringing back all the plastics that you need too just in case I ever needed them (and still have them) but they are in dark grey.

I’ve got a r/h drive binnacle, but I also don’t keep trim as takes to much space, I’ll speak to Phil up at Boston, as he might have or come across what were after

I may have the instrument surround but will not be back at yard for about 2 weeks.. Is the interior color of that P38 the standard beige for the plastic trim pieces? I may have these rear cargo side pieces as well but the color of the parts in your photo appear to show them as a type of mocha color.

They are darker than the ones used on a car with the Lightstone interior, this colour was used with the tan (dog poo) interior colour. Interior colours were Dark Granite, Ash Grey, Lightstone Beige and Tan, Tan is the correct one for George and was replaced with Walnut on later, post 99, cars.

Yup, tan. The side pieces have faded, hence the strange colour.

I'm hoping the instrument binnacles are same for L/H and R/H drive.

I'd love to ship an entire interior over, but I have a feeling that both the courier and customs would be the main beneficiaries!

GeorgeB, the instrument binacle for LHD and RHD are different dues to location of fuel door release button. I can’t imagine that the actual shape for both binacle shrouds would be different meaning that you could probably fit a LHD one in a RHD vehicle. You would need to extend the fuel plug release wiring to run across to the opposite side of the shroud. From memory I cannot think that this would not work as there aren’t too many bits n pieces under the binacle where the electric fuel release button goes that would impede its relocation.

Georges picture shows the fuel flap release on the LH side of the binnacle on a LHD car, so it is towards the outside of the car . On a RHD it is also on the LH side of the binnacle so nearer the centre of the car. The parts listing only shows two part numbers, one for up to VIN WA and one for VIN from XA so it appears they are the same on LHD and RHD.
