Once you've had all that lot done, you may find that it doesn't wobble on big bumps any more. You'll be well pissed off if it still does though....

Yes, there's a bit of tension building!
It's not really big bumps, it's asymmetric bumps. If you hit a speed hump straight on, no problem. If you hit one at an angle the wheel will tank slap left and right 3-5 times in about a second. There's also a lot of vagueness in the steering, especially when on cambers. It adds up to making a wide car feel even wider on narrow roads.

That sounds like the symptoms I had - hit potholes at any significant speed and you'd feel it, but not be able to predict what it would do. Replaced all 4 balljoints (both lower ones very shot) and the n/s front wheel bearing and it cured it (n/s bearing had a lot of play in it once the wheel was lifted up, but no noise from it).

Victory!
Just done about 500 miles down to Salisbury and back and she's much less of a handful. Hitting surface changes on a slip road used to be a white knuckle ride, no longer :)
We even got 3.3 miles per litre on the motorway run back (although that wasn't a refill from the same pump).

Although, if either of the first two turn out to be expensive I think it's time for an Android tablet/headunit.

As time goes on I'm getting a bit frustrated with my Android head unit.

It's slow and unresponsive and typing anything in (like an address to navigate to) gets annoying.

It's then quite slow to actually lock on to my location and start the journey. I'm often two or three turns in to my journey before it realises what's happening.

If I were to do it again I'd go for an aftermarket head unit that does Android Auto and/or Apple Carplay.

After sticking a tablet there as a test I've decided I can't stand having a touch screen down there. So I went for a Sony head unit with dual Bluetooth, DAB, FM, MW & Long wave. So in France I can listen to R4, I can pretty much get 1458 from London (strange Indian station) in daytime (Autumn & Winter only) as far south as around the Poitiers line, all the way in the dark hours.
So no android screen setup for me, phone in the window as satnav and a real radio down below in radio land. Great to actually have a phone call come out over the car speakers and not the crappy Nokia one in the dash.

I'm not fussed about touchscreen either. The works van has a do everything unit in the dash and it seems to do everything but nothing properly and is a nightmare to use. I decided I wasn't going to leave my P38 original, as originally it was supplied with no stereo at all. I've got a Kenwood BT73, DAB, FM, MW, LW, Bluetooth, line in, CD and dual USB. When outside the UK I use a 3G tablet to listen to internet radio through the line in. The satnav is a Garmin stuck on the windscreen. Not only does it work but it's future proof as if technology changes, I can just change it for something else.
