eBay make it an arse to find out what options you ordered something with if it was a multiple choice listing.... but one of my returns to ASH I've found mentions 8mm - I'm relatively sure its 8mm you need for the radiator expansion and throttle body heater (I've certainly used the same size pipe on both).
It is, it's 8mm internal for the throttle body heater and the radiator to expansion tank bleed pipe. 5mm internal for cruise control.

They're the useless ones though that say its in stock, then ship something else. They seem to have normal vacuum hose etc in stock, but 2 out of 3 times I've ordered, they haven't had it. Or an air filter I ordered too... basic thing, listed as in stock - nope.
I've ordered black single ply from them direct from their website. The first time I got what I ordered, the second time they rang me and said they didn't have any single ply but could send 3 ply instead for the same price (I declined as it is too thick and rigid), the third time, they rang and said they had no black or blue only red so I increased the amount I ordered hence having a few feet of red single ply. They always say it is in stock but it rarely is, they either don't have any or it is coming in with the next shipment, which it doesn't.

I guess that means it's in stock if you need some...or they've got a new kid in the warehouse.

Looking at the link posted, I’d buy an original pipe ( even with postage) it’s not that much more.
Mine must of had it changed at sometime by the PO, it’s very plyable compared to some I’ve done.
Mine was brittle plastic and literally "came off in my hand, guv" when I eliminated the throttle body heater plate. I had to cobble together multiple lengths with jubilee clips :(
Ffs no 15mm out on my tensioner it's 13mm and won't move. I'm off to buy bigger spanners because this is one stupid setup 🙄
A socket on a ratchet, bar over it, if I remember correctly your pulling like your tightening it, ( clockwise ).
I put the ring end of a 15mm spanner on the tensioner and a socket with an extension bar on the open end of the spanner. Then I push the whole lot clockwise.
Mines definitely 15mm for the tensioner.
Are you sure you've got the right bolt head? The bolt that holds the tensioner assembly on is 13mm IIRC. Don't want to undo that with the belt in place!
I think you're trying to turn the wrong one, it's the 15mm bolt head in the middle of the tensioner pulley you need to turn.
Yep, figures it out in the end. The nut on mine is 17mm though.
Sadly while I was fishing my spanner out from behind the fan after it pinged off the tensioner I must have put a teeny amount of pressure on the T piece in the top hose which immediately snapped off and dumped a couple of litres of reasonably hot coolant onto my arm.
After dealing with that joy (my arm is still stinging) I decided to try and finish what I started and removed the first three bolts on the compressor without incident.
The fourth was stuck fast and, being made of finest quality British cheese-steel started rounding the moment it saw my spanner. After a lot of plus gas and tooth sucking I took the throttle cable out the stop and got a socket on the nut. It moved eventually with a lot of squeaking.
That's as far as I got because the compressor won't budge and it's too dark to be sure there aren't any more fasteners in the way.
It's not like I'm in a rush now I've got to find that plastic T piece before this bitch can run again.

(edit) not that they'll look so good once I've got them off the plastic stubs and dug the broken one out of the smaller pipe of course.
I bought one of those recently and it certainly didn't cost that much.

While on the subject of coolant and leaks, I wonder if any P38 buyers have fallen foul of sellers who have replaced coolant with 'waterless coolant'... the stuff that doesn't pressurise much when hot because there's no water in it to turn into steam. I once converted a Jag , I think an F type, for a new owner who's car had this stuff in it and reckoned the previous owner had stuck the special coolant in it to mask HG problems and a heater matrix leak.
