I came across this 2002 Range Rover on the Copart website if anyone is interested. Low mileage, uncategorized, and looks to be cosmetic damage. It's located at Copart Westbury.

I'm strangely drawn to that!
Not that I have the time, money or space... but how much is a realistic estimate?
It'll probably go for no more than 3 or 400. I can't make out the badge on the tailgate but the interior colour and wood on the dash looks like it is some sort of special edition even if it is only a 4.0 litre. Looks to only need a bumper, headlight and maybe a bonnet at worst. A weekend of tin bashing should get it sorted.
My old diesel suffered some front end damage that looked no worse than that one the surface.
Needed all sorts behind the scenes where the bumper had moved and caused all sorts other things to move.
Needed radiator, fan, AC condenser, chassis crush can, part of the wing was bent, edge of the bonnet was bent etc.
The repair bill was somewhere around £3-4k I think (back in 2008 or so), done outside of insurance. They did use genuine LR parts though.
Obviously a lot would be done DIY bit aluminium bodywork repairs aren't commonly DIY and can be expensive. If you can't find another bonnet to fit of course.
That interior looks lovely though!
I'm pretty sure it's a Westminster.

The wood looks about right, certainly. Although strange things were possible in 2002.
Edit: if you click on the HD button and zoom in using the scrollwheel while you're looking at the rear 3/4 pic on a big monitor.... the badge says Westminster. Good spot, Robbo!
Sadly, although it has the speaker on the dash and should have the same upgraded-beyond-vogue sound system as an SE, it seems to have an aftermarket head unit.
It’s hard to put a price, ive seen so many go at stupid money ( low price ) and the following week it’s back on line, last time I went down copart I walked out, the prices were stupidly high, the Eastern European’s were paying well over the odds, knowing that if they break in there country there worth treble what they are here..
But they are only interested in stuff that they know they can break for spares and make a fortune on, diesel Peugeots, Citroens, BMWs, etc, stuff that they have a ready market for. Dina's father in Latvia was quoted £60 each for secondhand front brake discs for a Ford Mondeo, I took a pair of brand new ones and a set of pads too that cost less than that for the lot over here. A P38 is a bit too specialist for them, traders wanting something to cobble back together and sell in a weeks time won't be interested either, it's too niche market so could go for next to nothing.
Just been looking through the photos again.
Is the wood on the driver's door a different colour to the rest of the wood?
I also think it's been off roader, looks like it's had a good amount of muddy water over the engine bay - more than mine has and mine's been off roader a fair amount!
I wonder if the damage was sustained off road and if there's more underneath?
Well, if someone fancied a decent project I suspect it would be worth a closer look before bidding. They only made 150 of those with petrol engines, apparently, so you won't be tripping over too many at the supermarket!
Also, according to the museum place that lists the spec, the Westminsters all came with Grey leather so either that has had an interior swap (but wood trim retained) or it was optioned somehow. Is there a way of getting a build sheet from the VIN for these cars?
I think it's the original interior, just the photos are giving it a sort of brownish tinge. Westminster's were a dark grey leather.
Well it looks completely brown to me, including the seatbelts and carpets. Maybe my eyes are losing calibration :)
I thought it was brown when I viewed it on my phone.
When I looked on a PC I thought it might have been black.

I got the build sheet for my 2002 Vogue SE from Land Rover heritage. Just emailed them the reg and the build sheet was in my inbox a few hours later. If any one wants the email address please let me know.
