I've been a bit silly. I've driven off with the filler cap on the rear bumper having forgotten to refit it.

Didn't notice until three days later. Oops.

Looking on eBay but not sure if I've found the right thing as it says "outside UK":

Is there any reason this wouldn't fit a UK filler valve/nozzle/pipe/whatever the thing is called?

Are there differences between UK and Euro fillers then? Does that give any problems when trying to fill up over there?

There's 4 different fillers, the bayonet type used in the UK and Holland, the Acme screw used in Germany and Ireland, the Euro filler used in Spain and Portugal and the Italian cup used virtually everywhere else. I've got the standard UK filler but it has a 22mm thread on the inside so I can screw in an adapter to any of the other types. Take off the cap, screw on the adapter and fill so no real problems as long as you have the adapter.

That square cap will fit yours Dave.
It's only £4.40 if you buy from LPGShop's website rather than from LPGShop's Ebay listing.
You can use the screw in adaptors for other countries - The brass part of your filler is exactly the same as brass parts used in 70mm round housings.

I'll get mine too then. I've got the cup and Acme adapters in my centre cubby but I think I've only used the Acme one once or twice. Nearly as good as ours unlike the cup filler where you have to support the weight of the hose to stop the seal leaking on half the pumps I've found.

That must be fun with a towbar filler if your by yourself.

Dave - for the price they are, I'd grab a 2nd one whilst your there (I've done the same, I tend to put the cap in my pocket now rather than leaving it ontop of the bumper as I used to do which is how I lost the last one!)

Only the last one? I must have lost about 5 by leaving them on the bumper and forgetting to put them back on. I buy two at a time now so I've always got a spare.

Yes having to take the weight of the hose can be interesting. Standing there like a bloody scarecrow with one arm outstretched one way holding the hose and the other holding the button in on the pump.

I think i've lost 4 of the round ones due to the spring having enough force behind it to evenutally bend the plastic, plus lost a couple more by leaving them on the pump. I've got all the square ones now, which solves the spring problem, but not the forgetting to put it back on problem. I Should really make a tether for it! I've a few spare ones kicking about as you can use any of them to fit the square fillers anyway, just they look a bit silly.

Looking down the list of kit fitted to my car (from the invoice) it lists Valtek Filter Solenoid and 1-2 Y Gas Vapour Filter.

Would these be the only two filters in the system?

Leak test shouldn't be too difficult.

That should be both filters you require, you might want to check the pipe size on the 1-2 y one (typically they are 12mm now though others do exist). That filter comes either as a replacement paper element or a complete filter you just put your hoses onto. Its easier changing the whole thing unless its something odd.

But I didn't specify which (exact) Valtek Liquid filter I fitted on the invoice... and I occasionally (rarely though) list Valtek filter solenoids on invoices when I've really fitted an OMB filter solenoid or similar. On the shiny cap bit of the filter solenoid it should say what type it is.. (a number after Valtek like 07). Probably this one https://www.lpgshop.co.uk/valtek-zavoli-emma-gas-lpg-filter-paper/

Just change the filters and leak check as Gilbert said. If cars come here for service I'll do a bit more like checking fuel trims, compare trims on different banks, connect to the LPG ECU with the laptop and check pressure etc... But that won't be necessary at all, wouldn't expect to find any issues if I converted it lol ;-) Usually when I get cars in for service converted elsewhere there's loads to do with calibration etc.
