I suspect Marty's 20 tonne press will soon wipe the outer coating off.....

Are you planning on dropping in? The workshop is somewhere in the middle of nowhere near Swindon.

That would be great. Whichever day is best for everyone. Can't manage both sadly. Not too far away.

It looking less likely I can make it in the RR, the Throttle Position Sensor still isn’t here and it doesn’t drive well at the moment. The blend motors need doing and the heater core is leaking soo much coolant now it has to come out and at least have the o-rings changed.

Add to that the caravan needs new tyres now and the daily needs £1K of work as well funds will be low.

Swindon isn’t too far from here so might pop up for day to say hi and lend a hand.

I've got a spare TPS I can bung in the post for you so you'll be able to get there and if you bring the O rings that will make a pleasant change from doing radius arms.

Is the action happening Saturday or Sunday or both days please? I was just about to ask where Marty's workshop was when I remembered it is Grand National day this week and sorry, after Cheltenham, it is very important to me.

Both, I suspect people will arrive mid morning on Saturday and go home when everyone's car is in perfect working condition on Sunday.

Gilbert's idea of 'pleasant' leaves a lot to be desired :P

They're not that bad I suppose, but not that fun either!

I'll be up for both days.

Pleasant as in they don't involve grovelling on the ground heaving on a breaker bar......

I've got a set of blend motors waiting to make their way inside the dashboard too if you want to get away from the underneath work :P

Bring them with you and if we've got time I don't see why not, although I think you are only there on Saturday?

Who is going anyway? Anyone else in the Premier Inn on Saturday night?

Yeah, I'm only there Saturday booked the Premier Inn for Friday.

I think it's best to focus on the bushes for my car tbh. Will be pushed for time to do much else.

Righto tempted to limp it to Swindon and get some help on this. Would save me trying to learn how to do it at home. If we run out of time I guess I could leave it there and get a train home.

Small Tupperware and a couple of old towels to catch/soak up the coolant that will dribble out and a pot of coarse grinding paste in case the screw is tight. You actually lose very little coolant, just the contents of the pipes. TPS will need the adaptives resetting after it's been fitted but my Nanocom will do that.

The weather isn't looking too bad at least down here on the weekend. That said... it was just as cold here today.

Might bring my 45kw space heater just in case.... it's freaking April!

I can bring an easy up gazebo. Trolley jack, ramps axle stands, large socket set and breaker bar, I have a transfer box too but the viscous coupling is broke.

I have 4 original p38 wheels doing nothing in the garden. Will update here if there is anything useful I could bring.

Was hoping to make it to lend a hand and generally meet folk but still waiting for FlatDog to deliver the stainless steel exhaust I ordered three weeks ago yesterday. "Yup, we have it in stock and it will be going out on Wednesday, should be with you Thursday.". Flexible friend took the strain. Three hours later phone call "Sorry it will be going out next Wednesday." OK can live with that. Check last Wednesday for an anticipated delivery time. Nope not going till next Wednesday (today). E-Mail this afternoon says it has shipped. We will see.

Meanwhile still running around with tails of wadding hanging out the back boxes. Not the sort of thing you want before embarking on a 250 odd mile round trip. Things probably won't break but...

I shall be well pleased (not) if it turns out to have been drop-shipped.

Clive.

I'm aiming on Saturday and as I will only have the radius arms and bushes and no car I'm happy to do spannering for anyone else.

I do need Marty's workshop address though.
