Hi Tony,
welcome. You'll find everyone on here very helpful.
Dave
and Romanrob is near Heathrow too so if you need someone with a Nanocom......
Welcome
He was around today with his navcom helping me to fix my o/s/f window, he did good, its working again, he told me about this forum lol
Are you the same Dopey as on Landyzone?
Yes m8
Hi Tony, welcome....Richard, quick qn for you pls, when we put Tony's diesel on the nanocom today it had Police enabled. Should we care? It's obviously been like that for some time... Tony your car looks great btw, very impressed with the engine bay
The Nanocom documentation says it shouldn't be set without the police wiring mods having been carried out. As well as the cabling and split charge relay for the auxiliary battery that used to live in the boot, an additional fusebox and about a mile of extra cabling above the headlining, the only non standard wiring was around the boot release with an additional switch and a couple of diodes all neatly wrapped in heatshrink. What it did I have no idea but suspect it was so the car could be locked and the boot still being accessible. Mine is now set for Police disabled but it didn't seem to make any difference when it was enabled. It'll be another of those mystery options that only the guy that programmed it in the first place knows what it does.
Howdy
I was Dave4x4 on Landyzone. Don't go on there now. I got fed up with the abuse.
I wonder about the police setting. I have a standard Australian delivered P38, which Nano says is UK police enabled, which of course it could never have been a police vehicle. Looking at the BECM with RSW tool though, it says it is not enabled, so I don’t know. I have never tried to change it of course.

I know what you mean, i only joined LZ recently, but it seems like a painful experience. I thought the same thing about rr.net too when I first joined, but the community has mellowed/ matured somewhat - if you can see past the fact that the site admin have trashed it as a resource

Same here.
One person in particular was the reason I left.
Welcome!
Here the ambient is very reassuring for P38 ownership, eh eh ...
Richard question on yours as it is an ex-Police: I've seen some photos of them sporting different mudflaps than the usual plastic contoured ones, and some others with spots in the front grille. Does yours has any of this?

funny you should say that
thumbs up :)
You have to be careful on lz especially in the RR section.
D usually gives a green piece lecture if you mention the P38 v8.
Getting to hate the place to be Frank.
