Other than Dave, and I think he would have the same problem no matter what platform we used, jitsi seemed to work extremely well so there doesn't seem much point in changing for the sake of it. The only glitch I had was after I'd shared my screen so everyone could look at the picture, it didn't go back to the camera but logging out and back in again cured that.
I don't think there is a problem with Jitsi either to be honest.
At work I have just as many issues supporting people using every other platform - zoom, webex, bloody teams, etc.
We could do with an open bar? room left going perhaps with a password not in plain sight for a couple of us to dive into to check things work perhaps?

Romanbob, I was not aware that windows could "hang on" to the camera after testing it. In any case, as I said, at one point I rebooted my pc and I went straight into jitsu and it didn't make any difference.
I would like to try a another (different) session just with someone's webcam pointing at something on the desk so I can sort it. Can we have a volunteer please?

Download an app called Epoccam. It allows you to use your phone as a web cam linking it to your computer through WiFi. It works very well.
i think i have fixed the camera , apparently you have to initiate the software for it to work , it's not plug and play . i did try and find the software but i didnt know what it was under or what it was called but i did find it and i think it now works
so if anyone is interested in another face chat in the future , fingers crossed .

You're 7 hours ahead of us so it could be a very late night for you George. The last one was at 9:30 pm UK time, so 6:30 in Australia and mid afternoon in the US. With your time difference you'd be looking at very early in the morning or very late at night depending on how you look at it.

Unfortunately it is pretty hard to cover all areas of the globe, unless we have chapter meetings, which I’m happy to do George, I.e. a separate catch up. The time proposed would be 4:30AM your time.
It will get better once the UK comes off DST and we go onto DST later in the year, then 9:30PM UK time will be 6:30AM Manila time.
