Whoops, seem to have missed the boat, if she sailed.

I'm always up and doing in the early mornings anyway.

No you haven't, it'll be 21:30 tonight UK time if Gordon sets it up (or do we use the same link and login as ;last time?).

Gordon isn't about but he's given me permission to become the host. Link is the same as last time https://jitsi.gjcp.net/rrpubjune and if it asks for a password, it will be rrpubjune again. I know it's July now but I'm afraid if I try to change anything I'll break it......

Will be up and running from 21:30 UK time, so that's 06:30 in Oz, sometime this afternoon in the US and late last night or very early tomorrow morning for George......

I joined but had the same problem as Clive. Strange really as it was just the camera that wouldn't play before, this time it was the mic too.

Never had problems with Webex, Zoom or Teams, just seems to be something with Jitsi that doesn't like MacOS.

Clive could be seen and heard but the audio was very muffled and quiet, David we could see was there showing the camera icon but with a line through it but no audio at all.

Does anyone still not have Zoom?

Not tried it but Jitsi seems to work very well, every bit as good as Microsoft Teams which I was using at work. I think it works fine for anyone that has previously used anything else (Teams, Skype, Zoom, etc) just not if there is something in the setup of the computer being used so it wouldn't work no matter what platform is being used.

Had a quick nooge concerning Jitsi on the Mac and there seem to be some reports of connection problems with it. Time to delve deeper.

Microphone on my laptop works fine with dictation, albeit with some sensitivity to audio level setting, so seems to be an issue with Jitsi not picking it up properly.

I'll see if I can find someone local who knows about such things to do same room set-up testing.

I've never heard of /used Jitsi but I do have teams, zoom, and skype available (not that Skype is suitable for multivideo)

Morat, If I log in now, do you want to try it and see how it works for you?

For some reason Jitsi doesn't like the Mac. Microphone worked for me the last time but didn't this time and the camera didn't work at all. I did a bit of digging around last time and couldn't find any resolutions. My iMac is only 12 months old and works for everything else I use. I'm wondering if it's something to do with the resolution being set to 5K. Not sure tbh.

Might be, mine shows the resolution as HD, maybe reducing the resolution might help?

Rats!
Missed both sessions....If I had checked, and found out about the later session, I may have made it.
Reason was, we were on the road heading 650 miles North driving Bolt, and towing trailer loaded with Willys Jeep, and a lot of heavy boat gear. Probably about 4000# total
Flawless performance from the 02 and not a drop of coolant lost, no overheats even though we pushed it up the grades and it was in the 80s to low 90s. No oil used or leaked.......WOW! (Full disclosure: There is a bottle of K-Seal in the cooling system as there was a mystery weep. Gone now!)
I will look forward to the next Pub Night, I should have internet for most of the next 3 weeks as we head up North with the Waveney.
