Was looking for something similar in the search archives, but came out empty handed.
Who shares the passion, enjoyment, or despair of owning/riding/restoring/repairing /hoarding motorcycles or bicycles?

My stable has a '98 Guzzi California EV and a '94 Vespa PX150 (that this year decided not to work at all so it misses the season!), but I am still overjoyed as I managed to put back on the road after four long years my old faithful Guzzi, so now I feel renewed!
This brought me also the will to finish lingering on the subject of getting myself a small enduro/trail bike, which I am looking at since years but never accomplished ... feel free to throw ideas or if you got something you want rid of, well ...

I also got to rediscover the joy of pedaling and I got myself a small 20" folding bike to carry around, in addition to a regular "touring" 26".
I've done more road on a bicycle this year than the last - at least - five ... feeling good about it as well.

I ride a 1983 Gold Wing that I've had for a dozen or so years. And mostly I commute to work by bicycle. It's only 8km each way, so not nearly as ambitious as it sounds.

i ride a 1993 FJ1200 Yamaha, had it 20yrs . last time i rode a push bike it buckled in front of the kids when i jumped it in the front yard , yes landed on my arse , band from riding the kids bikes, so no more tredlies . have had many dirt bikes over the years.have dodgey back so i dont ride the dirt (sand) anymore.

Got a '99 Yamaha FZS600 Fazer that gets taken out for a blast when I get time.

Ha! This years resolution was to make an effort to get out and put miles on my Norton Commander (the rotary engined one) and Yamaha GTS100A (the funny front end one).

94,125 miles on the Commander (all mine) so I really intended to do a Richard and photograph the magic 100,000 miles.

The GTS was my me to me 65 th birthday present, sheer indulgence but my "have fun in retirement" fund got diverted and could no longer stretch to a cool low mileage Hass to replace the Bridgeport.

Back issues, heat and waiting for an operation got in the way. But at least they picked up five miles each going for an MoT. Hefty, long legged bikes aren't the thing for popping around town.

I do have my brother's Ducati GT1000 sitting in the shed, which is tempting if a little on the tubby side for what looks like a sports/streetbike crossover. I ought to get another bike, it's been a while since I used one regularly (little 2-stroke Honda LS125R which was already falling to bits when I got it years ago, presumably a Honda as in 'under some sort of licence' because I thought they didn't make anything but 4-strokes). Actually learnt late, in my 20's, on a CG125 & an ER5 and still have a couple of bikes to look at getting working, but nothing special (Suzuki T250 & a small Kawasaki). Need to get on with that. They mothball better than cars though, although the chrome on the Suzuki is shot to bits.

Cool collection of bikes! It stands to reason that guys who are infatuated with 20+ year old Land Rovers would also like some classic motorcycles.

I had a 1949 HRD Vincent Rapide that I left at my parents house when I worked abroad.
My mother said she needed the space and it had to go.
She sold it for peanuts while I was away. It still brings tears to my eyes.

Morat, that looks exactly like the one I had.
It was many years ago, back in the late '70's actually. Prices were starting to climb but nothing like what they go for now.
If I had my time again, I would buy up old British motorbikes and fill up a shipping container. They went dirt cheap when the Japanese imports started hitting the UK in the late '60's and early '70's. Manx Nortons, BSA Goldstars, Velocettes, not to mention Vincents.

Used to cycle 60 odd miles a week minimum. Can't anymore due to foot problems caused by shitty safety boots supplied by work.

Still got a Kawasaki zzr600 sitting in the shed which has done about 200 miles in last 5 years. Don't have time or energy at the moment :(

Ooh, nice bike. Our daughter just sold her 2006 600 Ninja. What a fun bike it was.

I have got a Landrover badged folding bike that I fitted with a 1000 watt electric motor in the back wheel. It is powered by Dewalt XR batteries.
Does that count?
