I've checked continuity from all three connections from the rear right height sensor to the pins on the EAS ECM connector.
BK to 24
OR to 20
ON to 22
They all have a resistance of about .5 ohm
The actual sensor seems fine and was working on the other side.
Still shows a value of 6 on the Nanocom
Not sure where next. Try a different ECM?
If the height sensor tests OK and swapping it didn't cause the fault to move to the other side, it isn't that. If the wiring shows continuity (and no short to ground) then it isn't that, so that does only leave the ECM. Maybe that is why it was converted to springs in the first place?
Haven't checked for short to ground.
I'll try tthat and then see if Paul in Rusper has a good one.
No shorts to ground.
Fitted a replacement ECU and the right rear has improved from 6 to 8
I'm missing something. Just not sure what. Probably something simple.
Damaged connection in one of the plugs? Although I would have expected you to find that when you checked for continuity.
EAS ECU is not seeing the correct voltages from the sensor/pot so I would re-check the continuity between the two
for resistance. (Ie. you may think you have 'continuity' but it's actually a few ohms ?)
There a two ways to explain this.
One is to say that I found a loose connection and it's all fine now or...
I could tell the truth. The right rear snsor was upside down. How can you be that stupid!!

Well we have all done that -or similar- of course David, whilst 'learning the hard way' !
We also just learned you can inadvertently fit these upside-down.

I have seen the light!
All the levels calibrated with some 28mm dowel which seemed to work well. A few variations so not sure why because blocks were pretty accurate.

There's always going to be variations as no two height sensors and linkages are going to be absolutely identical. Front left to right look a bit off except on High setting. Was that done before you'd finished calibrating it? The software will only let you write one height at a time.
I started on the back and did each height individually starting at the highest and wrote each one before going on to the next height and then did all the ones on the front the same way.
