It's been tough to get LPG near me for a while but I'm planning a trip to Salisbury so I thought I'd have a look at FillLPG.
There's nothing but black stations out there! Is this a Ukraine war thing? I thought we got our LPG from the local refinerys.
We've just filled the Duchess with Petrol for the first time ever. That was a shock 😅
It's mainly down to supply chain issues with Flogas meaning they have been prioritising domestic customers over forecourts. Therefore those supplied by Calor have seen demand go through the roof so are running out far faster than usual. Calor are also prioritising domestic customers so deliveries to forecourts are taking longer than normal. To cap it all, there's these nutters blockading refineries meaning that even when the tankers get there to fill up they are kept hanging around for ages. autogas.app is more reliable than filllpg.
I've probably used more petrol in the last month than in the 12 years I've owned mine......

It finally seems to be getting signs of going back to normal - The local Shell hadn't had any since early february and has just been refilled today for the first time.
I gather some of the issue is the amount of time they are waiting to offload at whatever port it comes in on.
Filllpg is better with the app than the website, the site is not working well and thats unlikely to be something that improves from what the other Richard has said (no time to sort it)
Could be worse - Diesel is even more expensive, filling the tank on my backup vehicle with Pay@pump needs two hits on the card as it only lets you have £99 at a go. £126 to fill a tank that had slightly less than 1/4 left
I moved recently, and now about the only place I can get LPG is the Shell garage in Dundee where it's just gone up to 99.9p/litre!
Maybe I need to contact Morrisons and see if their big store just down the road will get LPG at the filling station...

Whatever the issues are the suppliers are not doing themselves any favours by not keeping forecourts stocked. Situation is a bit like selling air to the crew of a space-station but not supplying them for a few months then wondering why they've got no customers left, they will undermine their own current customer base and potential future customer base... I doubt many more city councils will now be considering allowing LPG converted taxis to enter emissions zones and that will have a knock on effect for the rest of us.
Edit - Not that taxi drivers would want to go for an LPG conversion after the Glasgow situation anyway.

Having seen the 35 mile range on petrol issue, its no wonder those taxi drivers aren't happy having paid for an expensive conversion via the Autogas brand, for them to only go and shut down barely 18 months later. At least most conversions keep the petrol tank as it was, and now its clear why!

107ppl - but I had to do it was I'd been running on petrol for nearly 100 miles. Full tank 71.02l for £75.99
There was almost nothing between York and Salisbury :(

i tried my two locals at the weekend, 20mile round trip in the end, and all i managed was burning two gallons of petrol :(
I did try to tie in a trip to the tile store, but that was also a bust as they didnt have what i wanted.
Scrap man did give me £90 for 28kgs of copper and brass though so that was a plus, though if i'd know the rest was going to be a total fail I could have done that in the Skoda for about 30ps worth of electricity rather than 14quids worth of petrol

As you have seen on LPGForum, it seems Flogas are getting supplies out now so hopefully availability will get back to normal shortly. Maybe once there are more places supplying it, prices will start to come back down too. Historically they've always gone up in the winter anyway.
It seems to have got a lot better over the last week. Some cheap places still out there - Sainsburys Watford currently 62.9 for example. All of the local ones that I've driven past have stock today, not that there is so many of them now. But prices varying widely from 62.9 to 99.9 currently here
I shall be looking out with a keen eye! :)
My Jeep is thirsty too..albeit not quite as much as the Duchess. It's just been a bit of a shock going from 53.7 at ASDA to 107ppl in Salisbury in the space of about three months.
To be fair, there's still one station within 12 miles that is selling at 99.9 - BATA. Possibly it's because they also supply domestic heating tanks.
When I've ended up in your area, I've always tried to use the Asda at York, the other handful of places round there were generally a lot more expensive. Even Birmingham which usually has cheap lpg is more expensive now, though maybe that will improve with time, can only hope!
That said, it cost me £52 to do 267 miles in a 1.9 diesel in the last couple of weeks (not a Range rover obviously) so its not like theres much choice in it.

With the only place that has had reasonably regular supplies in my area at 79.9ppl, that's about the same as my 4.0 litre V8!

Its not far off mine either (I suspect the p38 performs slightly better than the Disco 2 fuel ecnoomy wise!), was only using it as my usual vehicle was out of action due to a failed clutch.
