My car has certainly been keeping me busy this month with one thing and another.

Ive been getting slightly erratic idling on start up. On cold it idles at around 1 notch over the 1k then reduces to around 1 notch below the 1k but it will fluctuate ever so slightly up & down. I can also feel there is something not quite right through the vibration of the car. After a drive it all seems a lot better but still an ever so slight fluctuation.
I have just removed and cleaned all the sparks and they were actually all tip top condition.

I have just read the stepper motor maybe a possibility?

Any fault codes reported? Nice list of things to check follows...
Air filter, MAF clean, air leaks in inlet pipe, free play in throttle cable and... IAC valve. Idle sounds a bit high. Mine (GEMS) sits around 750 hot or cold. You've got a Bosch so that might be different.

If it's a Bosch model, then the MAF sensors don't seem to clean up aswell as the GEMS ones do, but can cause the issues you are having.

It could be a whole load of things. Mine idled a bit like that when the fuel trims were pulled too far from normal, so it was running rich the whole time and that was causing unsteady idle.

Originally it was a bad MAF, but bad O2 sensors can also cause it.

Bosch models don't have a stepper motor like GEMS do, so probably not likely to be that as the IACV works differently. It's worth giving it a clean up though to be sure...

Is that where it's vibrating a bit more than it should? Mine does that at highway speed, and it's definitely not pleasurable! well, not for me anyway!!

Should I stick with a Bosch sensor currently about £70 or an Intermotor for £38. They reckon the Intermotor is a premium brand with 2 year warranty but Its the first time iv heard of that brand.

I run a GEMS so no direct experience for Bosch, but I know the Bosch systems are fussy when it comes to MAFs and lambdas, so I'd go for Bosch.
Don't pay £70 though- try here http://www.island-4x4.co.uk/oxygen-lambda-sensor-0002-mhk100940g-p-7771.html

I'd noted that one but wasnt sure if it was just a stock photo or actual Bosch as it doesnt state Bosch just OEM quality.

I'd give them a bell to check. Avoid anything supplied by/ branded Britpart. If you dig into it, the Intermotor ones are supplied by Britpart. Have a look at the URL for the Intermotor one from another supplier :
I bought one of those. It came in a Bosch Box, if that helps.
