Welcome - glad you made it away from the FB groups! This is a bit more of a relaxed atmosphere without 'breakers' hawking their goods ever couple of posts ;)

Pictures - you need an online storage service that you can host the images, and then you paste the URL to the image in the image tags generated by the button (next to the link one in the reply controls). You can then enter a title and description if you wish. The image will them be displayed when you post the reply etc.

I think Gordon (who set the forum up) is/was looking at adding image hosting functionality - but not sure when it will happen, as he works full time aswell as popping by here!

Having seen the results of someone accepting help from a couple of guys on the FB Range Rover Classic group, I'd treat everything anyone you don't know tells you with a very large pinch of salt.
