Mines just the same, missing the screenwash cap......

Or are you referring to the disconnected heater hoses or the lack of ABS and an old school servo and master cylinder?

Screen wash caps - Subaru at about $1.00 each fit just fine.

Well the fellow lives in Borneo, so I'm guessing it was a lot easier to work out how to fit a Tojo one that get RR support.

I guess that's not a bad reason - if its done well and safely, I'm not hating on it - just couldn't see the appeal but that makes sense.

Advantages would be cheaper more readily available parts, a simpler or more conventional braking system and easier to fix if you are in the sticks.

Disadvantages would be no traction control, no ABS, possibly less power from the brakes? ... vacuum servo vs high pressure pump.
Front to rear braking split could be solved with an adjustable valve.
