Hi Folks,
just thought I'd swing by and see how things are doing.. oh and to show off that I've just had the RR converted to run on LPG which is a huge relief to the wallet :)
It was done by Simon at LPGC (Gilbertd will know who I mean) who seems to have done a really nice neat job.
50p a litre? mines a double :)

Cheers all,
Morat

50p? You're being ripped off. Only 46.9 from a Morrisons near me. I remember when prices went up a couple of years ago when it was around 80p a litre, still cheaper than petrol though. I still think we've got a good deal. Petrol got up to what £1.25 a litre? Something like that but now it's down to a quid or so and LPG has come down by virtually the same amount. Best deal I've found recently on fuel is central heating oil. I live on the edge of a village and they couldn't be bothered to run the gas main across the main road so I use oil for heating. The first lot I bought when I moved in 5 years ago cost me £320 for 500 litres. I bought 1,000 litres last week for £302......

I wish it was 50p/litre here. My two usual places are 69p and 62p. The 69p place though drops its price occasionally and is currently 49p, but has run out.

Need to do some looking around for other sources.

www.filllpg.co.uk is the best place to look but 62p is taking the piss. The main Peterborough services on the A1(M) is only 55.9p and is the most expensive around here.

I have an account with Calor in Swindon for autogas - the advantage is that I get a fob so can fill up 24/7 and they bill me on account about 28 days in arrears.

The pump price is 57p/L though the account price has a 2p/L discount, so I pay 55p/L Which I think is a bit too much given it was that price when petrol was £1.20/L and is now about £1/L... though it's still just over half the cost of petrol, so I'm not complaining too much!

I hadn't come across filllpg.co.uk - but already that's given me a few on my commute to check out around the 53-55p mark!

The comments are very handy.

Bloody hell! I used to drive to Swindon on a Monday morning and back to Cheshire on a Friday. Calor was always the cheapest by far and was my last stop before heading home.

P.S. LPG is around 15 Peso (20 pee-ish) a litre here, but with petrol so cheap, I'm not bothering! Sorry.

Haha, yeah - it's cheaper than the other garage around here, but only a couple of p/L though I still need to get the bloody system working properly..
