I think they are called beam blades, traditional winter blades are also ok (while the rubber cover holds).

W11 does not allow access directly to hardware, therefore older applications can have problem accessing the serial port. Usually not a problem if the user can configure the port correctly (since the application can not access the port to configure it).
Lack of serial port in most modern computers is another issue, in some cases serial port can be added (difficult in laptops though), in other cases usb to serial can work, sometimes depending on if it supports the communication settings properly.

"turning the handbrake drum, to see when the shoes start to bite, in the same way as I would have done when doing the handbrake on a normal car. Tightening up the shoes until the wheel stops turning, then back off the adjuster slightly so that the wheel turns freely again."
Lift one side
or
one rear wheel and either transmission or transfer box in neutral
th.
If you lift one side (left/right instead of rear/front), you can rotate the rear wheel and the front one should rotate with it. Block the wheels on the side you don't lift with 2"x4" or something like that.

The handbrake is also kind of emergency brake (if the main brakes fail), which is why the MOT guys don't like when it doesn't work.

From what I've seen about SAI, it's a bug, not a feature...
But are cylinders 4 and 8 using the same ignition coil? Or is that only GEMS.
th.
It's using a screwdriver or similar that is the main trick. Then put the cable tie over both ends and tighten.
It really helps not having the spring under tension.
th.
I just put the cable tie around both ends and tightened.

1.7v is a bit like when a cat uses one of it's nine lives: one less to go, and just then it might find out that some of the other eight where already used...
Had similar issue lately, when opening the drivers door from outside, the latch sticks open. Pulling the handle again (not in a very gentle manner) has been sufficient.
It's been a bit cold here so I blame moisture and lack of lubrication.
