On my lazy days i tend to browse forums looking at hot topics.
In this case I tend to see quite a few "what does yours do to the gallon" threads.
on these i find seemingly identical cars doing completely different figures.
Mine being a 2001 Thor 4.6. Over 3000mi it did an average of 18.7 on petrol mixed A road driving as for Gas i dunno it never worked!!! ;) LOL

Sounds about right on petrol. I've just got in and mine is showing 211 miles since I filled it with gas (65 litres) so it's running on the last of the fumes at the moment. Anything between 190 and 220 miles to the tank. No idea what it does on petrol, I've never run on it for long enough.
Highway with not too light a foot and fairly mountainous terrain, I can get about 19 mpg (Imperial gal) with the P38, and 17.5 with the Disco. I suspect the Disco pushes more air, needing more fuel to maintain speed.
180 miles / 63 litres = 2.8 miles per litre on the OB scale.
That's on gas, and she rarely sees a dual carriageway.
GEMS 4.6L petrol: does marginally above 20 mpg on highways; stop/ start in city can be as low as 12, so I tend to get an average of that. Seems much improved since I had the injectors cleaned - unfortunately, since I never believed the trip computer prior to that (ie seemed low), then I can't quantify by how much.
Average speed - 8kph

in lo range along a 10km beach 36L to the 100km , that's the highest i have seen it . some times as low as 15L to the 100
in a 50 mph zone on the M4 today I hit "trip" out of curiosity. the computer hit 29.6mpg for 10 miles or so, obviously that's fairly optimal conditions, but i was impressed it could do that

No it was fitted by Profess autogas in swansea.
It is a shít system to be frank.
And tbf with the 6mi round trip i did LPG wasn't worth it, as it would switch over "when it worked" outside my work gates, bit late!!
Yet another glowing recommendation for Profess......
It should be possible to get it to work a bit better than that though. My SE with an eGas system on it, also not the best, would change over within a mile.
About 28mpg measured on motorway at 70 and lanes around Scotland.

Ahh, I thought I'd fitted an LPG system for you hehe.
Get it sorted! I'm fixing LPG systems on 8 vehicles this coming week including a Disco, didn't fit any of them but have seen one of the vehicles (Ford F150) before. Also have a full install to do, so 9 cars coming this week.
Yep part of my growing budget is to have a proper LPG system fitted.
the current one is shyte..
wiring is a mare and tbh the range was hilarious, i got 100mi from £40 and it ran like crap, i did contemplate having it serviced by them, but their reception is less than stellar.
It isn't necessarily the system, but the way it has been put in. Profess were, and maybe still are, one of the done-in-a-day installers and it simply can't be done properly that quickly. Moreover, it can't be calibrated properly either so all it may need is looking at by someone that actually understands how it is supposed to work. Get it over to Simon to be sorted.

£40 to 100 miles you should be able to do on petrol, no wonder you say it doesn't work. Profess did have a bit of a reputation for problems though you don't hear much of them now
I don't exactly remember what it did to £40 on pez as i always filled it on payday..
£132 would get me 407mi which wasn't too bad.
I'd be looking at about £65-70 for 400 miles on gas. Get it sorted!
