Two questions:

  1. Was this a feature offered when the P38 was in production?

  2. If so, what level of tinting was offered? i.e. 80% rear? or 70% rear?

Thanks,

Tom

All the windows are lightly tinted as standard (unless it's a base model), I don't think gangsta style tints were ever offered

It wasn't offerer on p38s but I did my rear doors and rear quarter windows not for gangsta looks it's to keep sun off granddaughter and stops people seeing what you got in there & makes Interior cooler when parked up on those rare sunny days ----

I bet it does, open a window part way and see the difference between looking through the glass and not looking through the glass. It'll have a light green tint.

i had my rear door done after i smashed it , the tint shop used 30% as a match for the other windows . plenty dark enough, if its to dark you will not see out the back window , a real shit to back up in the dark.

Mine are tinted, just on the acceptable side of scruffy now. The annoying part is the need for brighter reversing lights!

I used limo dark on sides --- not front doors and 30% on rear ----- just dark enough to ward off prying eyes --- I fitted led interior lights upgrade too Very useful at night

I fitted LED "globes" to the reversing lights. You need sunglasses to look in the mirror at night. One of the best little upgrades out there.

Although I used "CANBUS compatible" globes, I occasionally got a bulb failure message (only ever the LHS) so I fitted a ballast resistor with a proper heat sink (I have a few spare if you need one) and as noted, great upgrade.
