That is how I feel about mine too, Rutland. Gilbert has seen mine and the paint is excellent. It still, amazingly, has the protective tape on the chrome inserts on the rubber strips halfway down the body. It runs well and will do for me. I PX'd a L322 to have this as this was in better condition.

You can have my 2001 Vogue for 4.5K

I haven't understood one fukking word of this thread lol

How much are you charging for copies please?

Thanks for the lesson Richard, I did not know that and I'm spending less time on the other side of the big lake...

Same here .... since Richard posted on here about the shenanigans over there, I haven't visited in protest.
By the way, Richard, the old beastie is looking good? Has she had her respray or have you just washed her?

When we had the hot spell the other week, I turned mine on and got roasted. A visit to my local aircon man and tis all good now .................. bloody freezing.

I swear by Emmots .... have used them on numerous occassions

I can just see the tears if you repair said crack and it still clunks lol

Due to the weight, any postage options go out the window surely? One option though would be one of the 'pallet carriers'. One of my ex boss's is involved in the pallet carrying in this country and he often gets engines on pallets to send or deliver. You only pay for the size of the pallet unless it is oversize or overweight etc.
Being in France, you'll have euro pallets which aren't large but will hold two heads. As long as they are securely fastened to the pallet with banding tape you'll be fine.
There must be an equivalent to Pallettrak or whatever over there.

Wheels that have been shot and coated do look the bollox though ............. here are the ones I had done in black chrome after being just normal silver ones.

If you're having a proper respray, then why not have the wheels shot and powder coated for a good final look?? It isn't that expensive ..... for my L322 it cost £280 and I had them done in black chrome which was dearer

Glad he sorted your LPG out, Chris ............. the bloke is bloody good, isn't he? He sorted my EAS out and I was well pleased.

I hope we're going to get reports and pictures from the weekend!!

I can't see your post, Ferry as I'm boycotting this thread lol

I'm going to stop reading this thread ............. it is starting to piss me off :o(

Have fun, guys.

Hiya Marty, good to see you back in the UK again. I am going to have to pass on the camp. I have left it as late as possible but the last 10 days I have felt really shit and so cannot commit (I hate wasting money). I am quite pissed off as I was looking forward to it. Fortunately the Beast has been running well and it still only needs a compressor and new tubes on the Cruise Control. I must get round to checking whether it is a short or long cabled compressor and I'll let you know. Gilbert showed me how to change it so as soon as I have checked, I'll message you.
Now I know you're home, I'll sort out sending your Kicker back to you. I have to go to the Post Office in the next few days to pay the paper bill so can send it at the same time.
Health wise, things are crap. I have to go for another MRI as the quacks want to check on my heart and I also have a benign tumour that they want to check. I have refused to let them play with the tumour as it is only benign ....... if it ain't broke then leave it alone. Plus now I have a circulation problem in my legs ........ the lower part turns purple after I have been up a few hours and I have a couple of ulcers on my shin. This time just over two years ago, I didn't have a care in the world, now I'm falling apart big time.

Sounds to me like this revdave31337 on RR needs the assistance of the Summer Camp. He is only in Brighton too.

ok, really really stupid question, I know.
If you suspect the thermostat, why you'll waiting for a new one, isn't it possible to put the cover back on and run it without one? I know in the old days, it was possible to do this but of course, cars have got far more techno these days. If it didn't overheat, you'd know for sure it was the thermostat then.

Marty and Gilbert are the P38 Gods as far as I am concerned, Morat. They're always worth listening to and taking their advice and help.

What sort of stuff are you after, George?

I believe it should be solid with no movement
