I was inspired to clean after seeing Robbo1's engine bay. Mines filthy compared to his. lol.

👍Don't think I have ever inspired anybody before lol.

I had a H&H a few year ago and wish I still had it. The picnic table in the boot is actually the spare wheel cover which lifts out and you attach 4 legs which go with it. There should also be a cover which goes over the top as well. My car came with all these and also a set of H&H luggage. Like a twat I traded my one in a a RR sport. This is the only car I really regret selling.

All in order on mine as well. I use iPad and an iMac usually with google chrome. Just checked and using safari all is in order as well.

Looks awesome

Hi all.
I have pulled the footwell plugs both sides and cleaned them with contact cleaner. Both sides were pretty clean anyhow. I have noticed the the crackling comes from the speakers in the rear doors and boot. No crackling from the front. Once it's up and running it sounds superb with no more problems. Any more ideas? I will probably just live with it and see how things go.

Thanks guys. Screw cover is beige I need lightstone. And both items aren't stocked but subject to supplier availability. I will give them a call tomorrow to see if they can get what I need. I have been keeping an eye on eBay but certain things seem very hard to get hold of.
Rob

Hi all.
Has anyone got a screw cover in lightstone for the under dash panel they could sell me. I am also looking for a twist clip in beige for the subwoofer cover. I managed to get one from my local dealer but I do need another. I can PayPal the dosh.
Cheers.

I do like a nice clean engine bay. I removed lacquer on my air intake with compressed air and a blower gun lifted it of a treat.

Hi
I have just been cleaning my engine and sump etc. Mine is just like yours in the first pictures and I think my oil deposits are from leaking rocker covers and it's had just been running down the back of the engine and into and on the bell housing. The other picture is the front right hand side of the engine again mine was filthy there and again I think it's from leaking rocker cover gaskets. My engine was absolutely filthy when I got my car and the rocker covers had been leaking for years by the look of things. Now it's all cleaned up it looks a lot better and seems to leak no more.

No I didn't do the footwell connectors. Will have a look at them during the week. I can't tomorrow as we are at a car show. I will also pull the lead from the nav computer and see if that makes any difference. I would be happy to let Marty have a look at the amp if that will help sort a replacement as long as I get it back working but that would have to a bit later in the year when the car club show season finishes.
Rob.

Hi all.
Pulled the amp out today and it all looks fine no water ingress all contacts look fine but I cleaned them all with contact cleaner. Put it all back together and it still crackles as before. I did notice it's worse when the ignition is turned on. I was wondering if it's the sat nav starting up. If I just turn the radio on with out the ignition all I get is a little hiss and then it's away. I cranked the volume up and it sounds bloody awesome. I really hope it's not on the way out.
Rob.

Thanks for the advise. Was going to have a look today but my local wilco had sold out of contact cleaner so been doing other stuff instead. If I get time during the week I will pull the amp out and have a look for any water damage and clean up connectors etc.
Cheers.
Rob.

Morning all.
I have the DSP system in my car and it all works fine apart from when turning it on it emits a crackling sound for a second or so after this it's fine. It also does the same when the sat nav woman speaks. Any ideas?

wow! That's the cleanest engine bay of all time.

What'dya clean it with?

I use either a brake or carb aerosol to blast the oil and muck off the engine. Hot soapy water to do the inner wings bulkhead etc and finish off the rubber and plastic parts with Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber care spray. I do like a clean engine bay as we do quite a few shows with our local car club North Norfolk Classic Vehiclel Club ( NNCVC ) In fact we will be at a local show today.

Sorry about the pictures. I have them on google photos and at the moment it seems to be a bit hit and miss. I am trying to put a picture of my engine bay on here but seem to be having problems.

Sorry OB didn't mean to make you whimper. These badges are like hens teeth then?

Ha ha. The interior is nice and clean and also the engine bay. I spent last weekend fitting a new water pump and cleaning the engine bay.
