Hi all.
Thought I should post a picture of my motor. And a thanks for all the helpI have received from you guys.

All done. Easy job and I didn't even need to go to Ann Summers for any lubricant 😂
I was thinking along the lines of not giving it to much welly because of the heater o rings. I just wondered if there was a cheaper option that's all. I will cut the old hose off the stubs instead of just yanking on it that way it shouldn't disturb the o rings. £26 for a bit of hose about 12" long seems expensive.

Hi all.
After replacing my water pump and refilling the cooling system with new coolant over the weekend one of my heater hoses has decided to spring a leak. The leak is coming from just above the hose clip. I have enquired about a replacement and have been quoted around £26 bloody expensive hose. Anybody know if there is a cheaper option.

Thanks for the replies. Just been in the garage and checked what I have. Plastic idler is 70mm and metal is 80mm. I have now removed the bearing from the metal idler and will get a new bearing and press it in tomorrow. New pump and belt then its put it all back together. By the way I removed the viscous from the pump with a large adjustable spanner and a sharp tap from a hammer. I was going to get the proper spanner but thought I would try this first. Thanks again.

Hi all.
I am in the process of renewing the water pump. Easy job so far got the pump off and got everything ready to fit the new one. Just noticed one of the idler pulleys is a bit rough. One side is plastic the other is metal it's the metal one that needs renewing. I am assuming this one is original and the plastic one has been renewed at some time. Any thoughts on this. Also need to renew the belt as that's had it. One thing I did notice was the coolant that drained out was really clean so that is a plus as well.
Rob.
Well had the system refilled today and it now works fine I have climate control. £39.00 at the local Wilco / Fast Fit.

I think I have key 1 as it works with the lazy seat and sets it to position one. I think the easiest option would be to just order another key. The lazy seat thing doesn't bother me so key key 3 or 4 would do if available. To sync the new key is it just a matter of putting the key in the ignition.
Rob.
Sorry should have asked in the previous post where to get my key cloned.
Rob.
The new key that JSF had was a key 4. Can I ask are the fobs programmed to the car when they are made or does this happen when the key is synced with the car if you see what I mean.
Rob.
Hi all.
Have checked as OB said and I have key 1. jSF have a brand new fob which was ordered in for somebody else. I know the key part would have to be recut but could the fob be made to work with my car.
Cheers
Rob.
Hi all.
I could really do with another key fob as I only got one with the car. I did also get a manual key as well. I spoke to my local independent LR specialist (JSF Norwich) and they quoted £210 for a new fob including programming. I don't know which key fob I have as the numbered part of the label has gone. Is there a way to find out which I have by plugging the car into test book etc.
Cheers.

Well checked the gas today by pressing the valve guess what yep it's empty. Next job to take it somewhere for a fill and see what happens I suppose.
Rob.
Wow what a transformation they look the biz. A job for me to do mine perhaps over the winter.
Rob
Sorted the bulb ta. It's all back in the car now and seems fine. Thanks for the tip about the ribbon cable if the LCD does play up I know where to get it sorted now. Next job check the AC gas etc. Thanks again for the help guys.
Rob.
Hi all.
Thanks again for the replies. Another quick question. What is the best way to remove the fan switch to replace the bulb. I have read a bit on RR.net and it says to just pull the switch straight off. I have tried this but mine doesn't seem to want to move. I suppose I could pull the HEVAC apart just a bit worried about the LCD.

I will have a poke with the valve tomorrow and see of there is anything in there. Can I ask is the pressure switch the tri switch and can these be replaced with gas in the system. Thanks again for all your help it's very much appreciated.
Cheers

Another 👍Up for Furness. I have had a few bits from them all good . I am quite lucky as they are only a 20 minute drive from where I live.
Rob.
Thanks for your reply. No the compresor doesn't kick in never has since I have had the car. I assume the compresor won't work if there is not enough gas in the system.
Rob.
Hi all.
Just replaced the LH blend motor and the book symbol has now disappeared 👍 But I still have no aircon. 😡 I assume the next step will be to see if we have gas in the system. Also will I need to have any faults on the HEVAC cleared. I will get myself a Nanocom at some point so I will be able to sort this sort of thing myself.
Cheers.
