Nice one. How much is still original?

How much we talking Martin?

So it’s a new sensor then :-(

You got any for sale currently Martin?

Another day, another fault!

So, now I get a RF Signal Incorrect hard fault on most journey I make. Before I start chucking money at new sensors, is there anywhere else to check that's common. Would this sensor go through that multiplug that gets corroded in the drivers footwell?

I've checked it's cable and reseated the multiplug on the EAS ECU already...

Resets fine every time, so it's obviously something very momentary....

I've seen Marty's thread about rebuilding the instrument panel, and while that looks ace, I'd be interested if anyone has simply swapped the filament bulbs with LED on the instrument panel, and how successful that was?

Cheers

I'm running General Grabber GT at 255/55 r18 currently which has good feedback and grip. Much quieter than the Khumo full muds!

oh yeah, not sure where i got £40 from then? !

Didn’t even know that was possible! How and where please?

Anyone got a cheap fix for the gas strut in the centre cubby box? Mine is useless and a replacement is £40+!!

Got them dry, it wasn't too bad in the end.

So firstly washed all the coolant out. It was neat as the water had evaporated. Almost oily in texture. I washed out with a lot of clean water from a hose while walking on the foam in wellies.

Then hung to dry in the sun.

No progress after 8 hours other than dripping from gravity so laid out some old towels and put carpet foam side down on them and walked over to squeeze out the water. Moving towel regularly to keep it from sucking the water back in.

Hung back up and repeated hourly all day. Finally after about 8 hours of this it was dry and not blotting any more out onto the towels.

Refitting wasnt as hard as removing, although I did remove the pin from the handbrake cable which was a big mistake as it moved down too far and i ended up needing to pull up using a strand of steel wire - far too hot for that sort of thing.

Darn, speaks of rain most of tomorrow!!!

Will keep it in the sun then tomorrow!!!

For the first time since i bought the car, I've had the time to remove the carpet try dry it out. I fixed the heater matrix o-ring leak 18 months ago and it was still saturated.

Washed with a hose till foam stopped and water ran clean, but will it ever dry out? It's been in the direct sun all day hanging over a trestle, but still soaking...

I’ll PM you my VIN then Marty. Thanks

@marty is there a way to identify my latch or is it best to remove it and read off the model number?

Just came across this: https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com/parts/index/hierarchy/id/L7/brand/land-rover/

The P38 is listed as Range Rover Classic 👌

Hi all, looking to modify the boot space a little as I have LPG which has stolen the spare wheel well but want to carry a spare. Also want to carry few tools, spares, add an aux battery, additional compressor etc. Thinking a custom ply box with drawers which I can also mount my dog guard too (from a diff vehicle but physically fits).

If anyone has gone this route would appreciate a photo or two please for inspiration.

Ha thought so!!!

Will monitor the situation and if it gets worse, pull them and get replacements.

I have got the first signs of micro switch failure, in that occasionally the doors will lock and unlock on their own, however before splashing out some serious wedge on new latches, I’ve heard from another forum that the BeCM might be at fault. Is that right or just internet mechanics talking?

Cheers
