I was speaking to one of the guys there when buying a fan vc.
They do actually differentiate if you know how.
For example
STC1916 is genuine lr.
STC1916P is britpart
STC1916P1 is oem
The dampers don't expand on their own unless they are gas filled :)
Most that are for p38 are not gas charged.
I'd say propshaft Uj.
I'd check the viscous coupling too :)
Mine hasn't got a harmonic damper to worry about ;)
