If it has had a 12S socket wired in with a voltage sensing relay box, it could be energising its relay(s) constantly causing your draw. Mine had one fitted behind the tail light assembly on the passenger side, and it had gotten wet at some point. Lots of corrosion and it was clicking on and off at random.
There is also a version in the middle with 10 pins that are memory mirrors - the 12 pin version is memory but also have electrochromatic (self dimming) glass. Ie, the expensive £150 bits of glass.
The 6 pin are the non memory, non electrochromatic type.
Are those screw caps.....?
I'd love to see what the roof looks like.
On the way home the other night I had one just take a stroll out in front of me while doing 40-50ish... I swerved slightly... the lack of evidence on/under the car suggests it made it... stupid birds!
This is getting pretty annoying now. None of my local three have had any for ages - or if they do its gone in a day. One currently has it but has pushed the price up, and knowing them it won't come back down again.
Down here in Southampton the weather has, for the last couple of days at least, been good enough to that point where having the windows down to hear the V8 making the sound of its people has been quite pleasant :)
I really must finish sorting my exhaust... stupid ebay crap.
Top left corner of the condenser is the favourite spot to corrode and leak. If the foam block is still present (whether you have a leak or not) I would remove it, as it traps water on the corner and can only help speed up the process.
The other place I found a very small leak was the suction line (big pipe) along the firewall. Where it was pressed into the sound insulation foam and sweats, the moisture was absorbed by the foam which again, corroded out the back of the pipe. Nitrogen and the good old soapy water found that one - albeit a very small leak.
Thanks :)
The other thing I need to replace is the temperature sensor on the vaporiser - I don't know what its currently reading but I guess high, as when the LPG works, it changes over from stone cold. When it won't switch over, I have to give the sensor wiring where it enters the actual sensor a wiggle.
To me it looks like its probably the OMVL M6 threaded sensor?
Not oily, but smelly?
I need to replace my gas filter and the hose between the vaporiser and HD344 injectors... but I'm not entirely sure what size it is, and with the hose in the state its currently in I'd rather not remove it to measure.
I have an OMVL Dream XXI-g vaporiser, which I believe is 12mm. Plenty of filters about that are 12mm too, but I can't find any info on the injectors. I have a feeling they might be 10mm?
You can change the engine size selected in the GEMS ECU - I changed from a 4.6 to a 4.0 in my first P38. It may take saving twice though to stick.
Alarm fault is usually the ultrasonic sensor in the ceiling I think? Might be worth removing it and checking its properly connected.
I wouldn't mind going to Billing - so depending on costs and if I can find out if I'm not busy I'd be quite interested :)
There should be at least two on a P38 that you can see... unless you've fitted some nasty grille and/or removed the rear one :)
Impact drivers and impact wrenches work on the same principal, but with varying levels of ugga duggas :)
I'm partial to Milwaukee... I have a 1/2" impact wrench that will undo just about anything - laughs at crank bolts. On paper its about three times as powerful as any of the cheapies, and it really shows.
My impact driver is actually about as powerful as a lot of the cheap 1/2" impact wrenches, but has 3 power settings as well as the variable trigger, so you can tickle screws in without the impacting action. The downside is they're not cheap, but once you have a decent set of batteries bare tools aren't too bad.
Mine is gone entirely, with an 8mm single ply silicone pipe between the outlet and header tank.
No need for it in our climates - it just ends up leaking and one more thing to disconnect and piss coolant everywhere if you need to remove the inlet manifold.
Been great fun - although I spent nearly 3 hours on a motorway junction before getting to the problem - no one could get up the slight hill coming off said junction. I stopped to try and help some people as I've got a tow rope that I think could pull the moon down to earth.. but..
how in the hell do people either not know where their towing eye is, or lose it? I could only help a few people out before I said sod it and just went home.
Adjusting the cable makes a lot of difference - we were putting mine back together last weekend and Marty adjusted the cruise cable, its now so much quicker to start working and a fair bit more responsive to changes in speed too.
If you top up with gas, £25 you can get more than 200miles.
Where the hell are they getting gas at that price?!
Pull the power to it and see if the key starts working again :)
Looks like fun :) Can tell from the weather if nothing else where in the world you are...
